How does terre d hermes smell like ?
*
I would describe TdH as burned oranges...it has that slight smell like someone just finished lighting firecrackers (gunpowder) and oranges. Sounds bad but to me its really good. TdH really make heads turn. Hermes counter sure got TdH...go give it a try.

i have one question

how to use perfumes? based on my understanding perfumes dont really mask sweat, and if you do then the smell changes.

but i know majority of the deodorants and antiperspirants in the market carry some amount of fragrance

so how, find a no odor one and then put perfume?
*
perfumes are made to mask the odour of sweat but its not 100% possible to do that so once ur sweat mixes with the perfume u will get a unique smell. same perfume does not necessarily smell the same on 2 different ppl.

i use a scent free antiperspirant and soap if i don't have the matching shower gel n deo stick to match the particular perfume i am wearing. My unscented soap n antiperspirant r fr Simple.

dior higher energy is nice, however longevity is an issue there, means it doesnt last long as compared to other dior's frags

blv is more towards a powdery scent from my pov

escape is great with sillage longevity is on an average side..

depends on own preferences to choose which perfume you would prefer

dior higher energy would be great for office/school

blv would be great for dinner/nights out

escape, romantic dinner or nights out..

@fared isa

Highest longevity frags I have used to date are YSL Kouros, Jacques Bogart Pour Homme, Paul Smith London and JPG Le Male. The sillage n longevity is insane but whether the smell is likable to u is a diff question LOL.

I own those 2 n I find 212 to be alright...Gucci by Gucci is nice n subtle but fails badly when it comes to sillage n longevity. 212 is quite good in terms of lasting power n sillage.

Hard to say la...both very different...u gotta try. but i think 212 is more suited as an everyday daytime frag coz it is fresh n long lasting.. Le Male can suffocate u if u use too much on a hot day smile.gif

my gf used to told me 212 is "masculine" and JPG smells like "kad raya". LOL. if u have to blind buy i suggest u get JPG coz newbie usually will complain about longevity! but agree with jonny dont use it in hot weather, its damn cloying smells like plasticine. in air-conditioned room though this thing really heaven.

i would suggest that if you could go and have a test for both perfume as both are quite indifferent from each other,
212 men is more on the fresh, wherelese jpg is on the sweet vanillaish smell
unless you are mentioning about 212 sexy men, which is more on the oriental spicy ..

if you could try and find the scent i am wearing today which is more on a fresh side, its a safe scent, wont offend anyone if you wear too many, good for office/college...

Then what is the difference between Terre d Hermes and Eau d Orange Verte.

TdH is the revised version of EdOV in terms of longevity? Both were orange haha

i dont like hermes. i tried to like them, but they all have the same "herbal" smell, i guess its their trademark. too classy, not fitting my style. terre d hermes smells like pickle to me, orange dverte is okay but nothing really awe me. for cheaper price paco rabbane black xs has more prominent bubble gum smell.

EdOV has a more natural orangy smell compared to TdH...but the orange here isn't the artificial candy type u get from some frags...this one smells very natural, fresh n a bit sour. Unfortunately the longevity is extremely bad....it's an Eau de Cologne anyway.

TdH is not a revised version of EdOV...both very different citrus aside. There is a Concentree d'Orange Verte and it is good too but can get a little musky in the dry down...but the top notes r beautiful.

Can't go wrong with Hermes...only the price is a con.

Other really good frags fr Hermes are Rocabar and Hiris.

hey stuffi,

if you prefer a heavier side of orangy scent, Eau d Orange is the way to go on top,
Terre opens on more sensual, musky however on the bottom, you get an orangy smell to it

Im sure it will last somewhat longer but my one spray of Kouros will still beat ur 10 sprays of EdOV LOL

EdOV range also comes with shower gels, soaps n etc...using those together will help the longevity n sillage but not very much..

concentre d orange verte is the other option.

I take very good care of them and store them well so they will last longer than the 3-5 yrs shelf life. Usually the top notes will be affected but overall they shud be fine even after 5 yrs.

im taking my time to finish them biggrin.gif
