what does eau fraiche mean?

i asked one of the shop assistant last week, and he explained that eau fraiche has the least perfume concentration of all.
*
Yeah the SA is right. Eau Fraiche is similar to those summer editions that come out once a year.

I read things bout Creed..Are they reallly good?
*
I find some Creeds like Erolfa and Vetiver to be really good. But the price tag of RM600 for 100ml puts me off. RM600 could buy me 3-4 bottles of regular designer fragrances. Some Creeds have been copied by designers perfumes. Sean John Unforgivable is a copy of Millesime Imperial for example but Unforgivable is much cheaper. So if u have the money to spend no harm in getting a Creed.

Some Creed haters always point out that their history and heritage has been fabricated...sounds like sour grapes to me. But it's hard to deny that Creed fragrances are of excellent quality. History and heritage is secondary to the smell of the fragrance itself.

I wanted to try their GIT..But wow..the price is a bit too much..
*
Green Irish Tweed is very similar to Davidoff Cool Water. To the average guy both Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed smells the same. As many ppl wear Cool Water, it would be quite a waste of money to get GIT because no on is going to take notice of your RM600 cologne. I rather go with Cool Water as its cheaper.
Creed Himalaya smells a lot like Paco Rabanne XS.

bro jonny

i need your opinion about sean john unforgivable and hugo boss pure....both is good perfume??
*
Unforgivable is a decent citrus cologne. It does have that very refreshing 7-Up like smell in the top notes. But longevity is a little disappointing on me, about 6 hours. Sillage is just average for this kind of cologne. But the gift sets are quite worth it.

Hugo Boss Pure I have tried only once before and it was very uninteresting. The moment u smell it u will start thinking..."hey..I've smelled this somewhere before". Pure is another one of those citrus/spice/woods kind of fragrance that is inoffensive and perfect for office or college. Only worth getting if cheap.

Lol..Will try it next time then..Probably Pavillion..

Buying these things is like choosing a car for me..Lol..High involvement products..
*
That's why it's very important to try it on skin 1st and let it sit there for at least 4 hours before u make a decision.

I don't think Lynx/Axe is available here. I've got a few cans of Lynx Vice that I bought from UK.

Since the early day , I was using Euphoria and I like the smell alot but since my gf bought me Heat , I'm using it all this while.

Thinking for a change now. I tried out the Black XS and I could say the smell is the sexiest among all.
Can you guys recommend any place to get Black XS with free gifts ?
*
Best place would be the department stores like Parkson and Metrojaya. However, different outlets of the same department store sometimes have a different variety gift sets for the same perfume. So if u really want to get the best possible deal i suggest u scout around pj/kl area. If u r lucky u might find a gem of a gift set.

As Christmas is about a month away there should be quite a number of Christmas gift sets around. If u can wait till early Dec, i can guarantee there will be even more giftsets. I usually wait till mid January because sometimes they will start giving 20-30% discounts on the Christmas gift sets. But I can't guarantee this.

I might wait till end of december then , already overspent this month.  laugh.gif
Anyway , any idea of how the XS smell in bass note ?
*
Smells like strawberry jam with a dash of woods and patchouli in the base notes. Absolutely wonderful. Black XS is a very linear fragrance throughout.

I'm using CK be, the smell is not very strong yet quite masculine. Would prefer something light smile.gif
*
I agree. It's very nice to wear when u need something light and inoffensive. CK be remains IMO one of the best fragrances from CK. I just wish Ck be lasted a little longer.

Since I'm using CK HEAT , dont you think it's something light too ? It just smells refresh and energize to start the day.

Jonny , mind share what's your favourite fragrance ?  biggrin.gif
*
Almost all CK perfumes are light and don't last very long IMO biggrin.gif
But if u like the way your perfume sets u into a good mood then by all means go with it.

My current favourites are (in no particular order):

1. Givenchy Gentleman
2. Solo Loewe
3. YSL Rive Gauche
4. CK be
5. Gucci Pour Homme
6. YSL Kouros

My "favourites" list changes very fast tongue.gif
can be a different one tmw.

acqua di gio the best ever

You and another million guys on earth also think AdG is the best ever

Too common almost everywhere. I used to love AdG but I have graduated to more mature smelling fragrances. But that doesn't stop me from wearing AdG once in a while to relive the memories of youth smile.gif

Some questions here,
Normally perfumes under winter category for europeans, when is the most suitable time to wear it for malaysian?

In my opinion normally i'll recommend my customers to use it during evening out, night and also raining seasons. But of cause I just simply give some opinion because it's close to winter. hehe
*
Nowadays most of us live in almost a fully air conditioned world, so winter/cold or summer weather fragrances don't really make a difference to me. That being said, if I know i'll be in the outdoors for a long period, I'll generally stay away from sweet gourmands fragrances and strong orientals. If i'm going for a day out in the mall, i'll usually wear whatever I want.

Tried XS today..Smells different but kinda nice..Need  to try again next time..

But the SA at Tangs doesnt look friendly to me..Maybe lazy or she thinks I'm some cheapo guy or something..
*
XS or Black XS ?

Usually when I got to Tangs the SAs there are nice and helpful. But u got to be nice to them because they are the ones that will give you free samples biggrin.gif
I find the Jusco SAs to be rather unfriendly.

I prefer the SAs to leave me alone as they only push the newer releases which I'm usually looking for something not so run of the mill and most of the time released 20-30 yrs ago.

XS...I din manage to try Black coz the SA said that its much stronger..So I thought ok lo, its just stronger version of XS..

Maybe its just my luck to encounter not so friendly SA? Haha
*
XS and Black XS are very different. I would say Black XS smells more youthful and sweeter compared to XS. However, XS smells fresher and more of an everyday fragrance compared to its younger brother Black XS.

So that means I can conclude that the SA I encountered wasnt good at all? Haha..

Anyway I also tried Diesel Only The Brave last night..Like the design..The perfume's ok la.But I still have many more to try..
*
Well lets give the SA credit because at least he/she knows that Black XS is stronger than XS LOL

I haven't tried Only The Brave. I found the bottle a little too tacky so that influenced me not to try it haha.

i'm currently using Armani Black Code. thinking of buying another perfume. wanna ask u guys, which one's better, Polo Black or Polo Double Black. or should i buy Polo Blue instead?
*
Polo Black is a mild fruity cologne with a prominent mango note. Nothing black about Polo Black biggrin.gif But still an ok fragrance.

Double Black has a similar mango note but they added a coffee note, making DB stronger and richer than Polo Black.

Depends on what u already have u see. Do u have anything else other than Code ?
If no I would suggest u go for either Black or Blue instead. Code is more of a evening fragrance and Black and Blue would be more suited to be worn regularly in the day. I have a 50ml bottle of Polo Black that I no longer wear. I won't mind selling it for cheap. Let me know through pm if u r interested.

Edit: Btw, I still prefer Black over Double Black as I find the coffee note in DB to be very cloying.
