I thought he get his seamstress to do the buttonholes?

I prefer the teardrop buttonhole.

QUOTE(kotmj @ Feb 20 2010, 01:04 PM)
I've been to ALT many times now, and I always check out every piece in his shop either in basted form or ready for collection. Not one of them has horsehair in the lapels. Only my suits have horsehair and pad-stitching.

When I showed Ron my ALT jacket, he was in awe. He said he is content to make me shirts, but not suits.
*
Did he make you stay for dinner? ALT must be treating you like his son.

I'm contemplating a 5 button, backless waistcoat. With adjusters at the back. Please share some waistcoat pictures if you happen to have them. I need to show them to MBT. biggrin.gif

Self-backed? Or backed with the lining of the jacket?

Slanting darts? Phenomenal. I must show this to MBT. I'll see if MBT can make a lining back or backless.

Most teens that I've seen wearing baggy clothes and sneakers never look good in a suit.

I went to collect my light gray pants today from ALT! A whole bunch of interesting things happened.

What happened? He can do pad-stitching with one hand?

Have fun popping bubbles on the fused poly crap. laugh.gif  Puchi puchi.

That's not right. Top notch fusing doesn't bubble! tongue.gif Otherwise all of our fused shirts will turn to junk after several washes, right?

You can go to him without the thread. You need need give him thread and buttons on the last fitting. For now, all he needs is the cloth.

I'll just wait some more. In the meantime, I must put my sartorial studies aside and concentrate on my work.
