So I was back from MABT. Disappointed. What I've learned today though:- Golden rule when visiting tailors: Always be dressed in perfectly fitted, tailored garments. I was wearing my grey ku low foo today when I walked into the premise. Bumped into the same arrogant old fellow who served me two years ago but with totally different attitude and service from the last time when I was dressed in a baggy tee shirt and three quarter pants. He greeted me courteously and starts telling me his trade. He charges RM400++ for labor on woolen fabrics. Much cheaper than MBT but done without a single fitting. Which also means I will be seeing MBT again after the new year. Sigh.

Will consider that.
I shall think of ways to flaunt my braces indeliberately. Think Incontro. Hmm.
Added on January 20, 2010, 7:54 pmWhy not put a dimple in the center of the knot?

QUOTE(kotmj @ Jan 20 2010, 07:59 PM) Wear the braces over the cardigan! Added on January 20, 2010, 8:04 pmI can't be bothered with a dimple. It's complicated. Off to dinner. Not a good idea. My striped socks and braces stirred so much attention today, people think I'm nuts.

So are my ties... Dang. I forgot the dimple. Bear in mind, small-timers should not attempt my knot. This post has been edited by bloke1: Jan 30 2010, 10:54 AM

Behspoke. 1.5inch collar band, double button. But shoulders are made a damn bit wide by MBT.

The interlining is so thick that it feels like a drip bag.

QUOTE(kotmj @ Jan 31 2010, 01:04 AM) Added on January 31, 2010, 2:24 amI also asked him why labour charges are higher for wool. He said it's because wool is more difficult to iron than polyester. Tell him you'd do the ironing on your own. BTW, would you pull the trigger on a really nice NWOT Italian made PoW wool necktie which costs 50USD excluding shipping charges? Width is 3.5". They look rusty. I prefer shiny buckles instead.

Still...it reminds me of rusty nails. Nasty nails!
I would sterilize it before wearing. Caution with them teeth though. You'll never know how much blood they had drank.

Zambry sporting a nice patterned sportcoat and a four in hand. No wonder he won the MB case.
