err so S/L/R is referring to the length?
*
as i've mentioned above, stay away from L unless you're taller than 6"2..

i would say u need to try them on irregardless of ur height as we have different proportion for our upper and lower torso ...
*
even if someone's only 5"5 and he likes how a R looks on him, by all means go ahead..

but there's a general reason why its called short, regular and long..

Some of you will remember how I brought a colleague of mine to Bespoked 1U for a suit. Well I just came back from his house where he wore it to show me. It was perfectly fitted. These guys know their game.
*
cool =)

really wanna try Bespoked one day, do you go through Jerick as well?

Yes, it was Jerrick. If you've met Ian you'll know why people go for Jerrick. But don't be fooled by what they say about their starting prices for a suit. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the game there starts at RM3k.
*
yeah ive met the Ian guy, seems really snobbish.. o well RM3k is really out of my budget.. whats wrong with their starting price suits? i think they have pure wool material which starts at RM2k right?

I just sent my shirt for alteration wow pretty pricey! It cost me RM 50 for sleeves and length of shirt.. the place looks pretty messy, I went there because of jind biggrin.gif Hopefully my shirt will turn out fine biggrin.gif
*
now u know how i feel when i send like 5 shirts at once lol.. the best thing i like about them is that i can always get it altered again if im not happy with the result and they dont give the customers a frustrated face.. there are some places which will not "re-alter" them and give excuses like "thats what you ask for what"..

It's not shabby considering I paid RM 1150 in all for it.
*
thats really good price.. you got your material from Chan? btw the attendant was ah loke himself?

QUOTE(adiemuse @ Oct 11 2009, 07:29 PM)
this is my blazer. just a cheap one. so what should i wear with? darker grey slacks or skinny jeans? also what colour should i wear for shoes?
[attachmentid=1244441]
*
yupp the suit jacket can match a darker skinny jeans or white will look good too, just make sure that the jacket is well fitted too because otherwise you will look bulky on top and thin at the bottom.. you can also opt to wear chinos.. avoid grey pants (unless its the same suit piece with the jacket), you'll look like you're trying to wear a suit when you're not.. go for a totally different shade instead..

The material is from Euro Moda, Jln TAR. It's the pink building.

There are 7 cutters in Ah Loke's employ. Most of them are plying the New Your - Chicago - Boston - London route. There are three on premises: Ah Soon, Ah Chat and Ah Beng. I'd recommend Ah Beng. Ah Loke himself is often found in Genting Highlands.
*
what material is it and how much? does ah beng converse in english? my cantonese isn't good..

The material is a dark grey herringbone worsted. It is much thicker than the Italian tissutos. It is a durable fabric. Woven in Huddersfield, England. Superfine 90's. 3 meters cost me RM 400.

If you can't speak Cantonese you'll need to wait for Ah Woon to be around. He does the London circuit.
*
ok.. do you know the weight per meter? so basically ah loke charged RM600 for their services right? isn't that a very good price for half-canvassed? i mean many tailors charge about that price for a fused..

btw if you don't mind, what's your weight? so three meters of fabric was enough i assume?

ermm... is it too "over" if i wear a casual+blazer out there in malaysia? just wanna ask around bfore i get my blazer coz a lot of my fren said "its already so hot and you're still wearing more than one piece " =.=''

of course if we are wearing it out when we are working its different but if it is for casual use? any opinion?

sorry for such question ^^"'
*
thats the response you're going to get from alot of ppl.. but it boilds down to whether you think it suits you or not, and whether it will be acceptable in your circle of friends.. i remember one of my friends showed up in university with a skinny jean one day and all my other friends laughed the hell out of him and called him "rempit", he went home right away to change and came back later for class..

describe hows the "blazer" you wanna get..

ermm you got any suggstions? maybe i can try them out ^^
*
im guessing you're talking bout something like this:

user posted image

a suit jacket would be a better term, topman's materials are pretty alright for both formal and casual (although many may consider their cutting/design a little too trendy).. most of the new stuff are wool and polyester mix..

check out people's for more casual choices, they have a number of low price cotton jackets..

I think the trick to being dressy is to pick the right moment. You should not show up to a normal lecture in the middle of the semester with a blazer. For no reason.

But if you're attending a friend's birthday party in a restaurant, it merits something with a sense of occasion. Dressing a bit out of the ordinary is almost a requirement.
*
yupp, like for me on normal classes i choose to wear polo-t, khakis/jeans, if i know the particular room is very cold, i may choose to wear a cardigan/cotton jacket.. for a special event, birthday party in friends house or even to church, i put on my suit jacket..

btw "people's" < is a brand? lol never heard of it... where can i find it?
*
they have ones which are pure wool as well, but those prices are like RM800 for the jacket alone.. the mix wool ones around around RM500-RM600..

yes people's is a brand, malaysian one.. somewhere above topman in mid valley..

At least you wouldn't feel hot and stuffy in a sportcoat. Temperatures hardly go beyond 30c. I think.

BTW, where's FusionEx? I hope he's alright.

apparently he's been busy lately but secretly lurking around..

for formal suit is it better to tailor made? assume i dun have those standard body size ~.~ coz my aunt ask me to tailor made formal suit IF i really wan them...

i need to get the fabric myself or they will have them? sry really new in this suit thing ~.~
*
obviously in general, a tailor made suit is suppose to be better than one which is purchased off-the-rack as it is specific to your body and details.. you can get the fabric from Jalan TAR, lots of fabric stores there.. otherwise you can check out online as well, kotmj posted a link above..

i think you should start off by reading some info on the first post, and go around window shopping to take a look at some suits.. looks like you're rushing into getting a custom suit with no idea about a single thing..
