This story was told on FlyFM a month ago, thought I'd share it with you guys.
Apparently this couple were about to get married, so they decided to shop for a suit for the bridegroom. They went to a high end designer store (in KLCC if I recall correctly). The suits there cost around RM20,000. From the moment they went in, they were treated very rudely by the sales assistant there, who kept treating them as though they could not afford. Finally the sales assistant said "Don't waste my time, just go to another shop that sells suits cheaper". The other shop that was suggested by the sales assistant sold their suits for around RM10,000. The story however does not end there. The radio station decided to give a call to that particular shop to clarify matters. The person who picked up the phone (whom I think is the same one that was with the couple) was also extremely rude, and basically told the radio station DJ to fu(k off. Any idea on which shop this could possibly be? The radio station refused to reveal the name on air. |

So who wanna take a hidden camera and make the staff get fired? |

In some way if you are not dressed very nicely or you ask for some discounts, they would flip their eyes up. All sales persons should be accomodating to any customers. Be it a guy in ah pek shorts and singlets to people with different skin color.
If i were the potential buyers, i would e-mail a very nice letter to the parent company & CC to the company that manages the brand here. Thats only first step ya? Second is very drastic. Would go to media. Third would ask friends to go for reenactment with hidden camera and post in YT. Forth, mass defamation. Fifth.. take over the world!!! Muahahahahaha!........ errr over my head liao. |

Thanks for the comments. have you considered purchasing off-the-rack? for skinny tux you may want to take a look at topman.. a custom made one will cost you around RM1500 minimum from a reputable tailor.. QUOTE(netmatrix @ Oct 26 2009, 11:20 AM) The cost i'm not sure. But one thing for sure they would have to take apart the whole suit and then cut new lining for it. And the lining may be lighter material or half lining. And the sleeve linings would be changed too. Also if there are heavy padding inside, maybe changed to lighter one or removed altogether. Thinking of the job involved, i think make a new one would be better. Even if you want to retain the original one because of sentimental value. hehehe. From what u are saying. Declimatize is just a term i made up which came from some hardware related stuff. I do not thnk there is a term for re-engineering suits. if i bring my coats to the tailor shop and ask for alterations. how much will they charge me? (maybe u guys can enlight me with some rough figures) especially from what i see from what u wrote. it seems to be a big work just so much alteration. please advice. |

Phat Guido has grey horn buttons on his navy suit. It's a combination I find more appealing than bronze MOP.

There's an article in today's Star Newspaper, Clove Man section about Lord's Tailor. Interesting read with some interesting pictures as well.
