Basically, you should learn Foo Fighters songs. Then Incubus. Then Metallica. Then some songs by Jimmi Hendrix... All these artists have songs that can develop your basic skills & technique...

legato is like u play hundreds of notes but u only pick the strings for few time only..
how is that possible??
u use alot of hammer on and pull off
what is hammer on and pull off?
this one ar hard to explain..maybe u can search on youtube..

but i dont think u need legato yet..
just play songs and your skills will develope by time..

scale is not the only solution but it solves most of the problem..heheh..
in your case Am Dm G C F Dm and E, u can solo in Am scale or A pentatonic minor..
explore all 5 position of pentatonic..
i believe there's alot of lesson on how to solo online...
search online and u will get a better idea..

the only solution is practice lor..
play with metronome..
and start REALLY REALLY slow first..i myself once start with 60bps...
after i felt comfortable with it, i increased the speed to 65...

Yup. Unfortunately there's no shortcut for that...... just constant practice with a metronome.
Even Yngwie started out slow and worked his way up to crazy speeds.
But make sure you DO push yourself, that's the key factor. If you think you can take on 60, try 80, then scale back if it's too fast.

Practis as slow as u can, some times sure get bored,

but that the only way to keep your finger to feel conford with the scale

time will make ur finger to move fast,

the key word is dont give up ur training,

Jangan Malas.

to play note to another note fluently.
the means of fluently means not lompat2 from one note to another note, instead u'll hear it like connected from one to another.
staccato is the contrast of it.

imagine legato as the sound of a flute.
imagine staccato as the sound of machine guns. biggrin.gif

u use lots of hammer on and pull off. less picking for legato.
