y from diploma i dowan2 jump straight to ACCA??
- this is because, ACCA paper is not an easy paper...so i play safe..if i failed ACCA at least i am still a degree holder..if nv failed its always a plus..

but

- if i nv take degree, n i failed ACCA then i am only diploma holder...

i m a diploma holder in accounting now...i m looking for Uni to continue degree...i did call to UCSI,SEGI kota damansara & Segi Subang Jaya...

which is a little bit funny is SEGi kota damansara says that i able to enrol to their year 2 since tat i m a diploma holder althought is from other college...


however,SEGI subang jaya branch ask me to go personally and pay 100 bucks for them to check how many papers i can exempt and which year i can enroll..


Is Segi really tat bad ? I prefer subang jaya branch..cos more nearby my place...

If you're looking for a professional, internationally recognized and prestigious degree, go for ACCA. Unfortunately, to achieve that kind of status, you will have to go through hell (ask anybody studying ACCA) and 2 more years of hell (auditing internship) as it is a British based black & white no colour accounting syllabus with lots of bombastic words.

yup, every year as long as you are registered with ACCA =) But its nothing much compared with the status you get as a registered member. ppl look up to you. alot. lol

MMU is recognized lar.... And is the first private higher instituation in Malaysia with the value of almost RM1 billion. Sad to say quite a lot of good lecturers have left since the leaving of the 1st president on 2007. But now is still good and have one of the highest employment rate. Myself is a student and work part time. And i have not even graduated but i still can get quite a lot from my part time job. Not wad i work as is important but where i came from. U decide yourself. And do not need to compare university with those colleges. No offence, but why don't u have a look at education times in Star newspapers. Who always brag much? Colleges?

As mentioned, no offence, but most university do not need to do so as they are confident enough and know where they stand and who they are. I do not say college is not good. Even if u mention TARC, APITT, SEGI, or whatever.

Do know that, not only where u come from is important but what kind of person (character) u have is more important. DO the math and find the statistics. See how many people are being employed in mmu. Havn't graduate also have job already. But provided you have the skill.

And I do not like to see also articles which comes up in newspaper says that graduates are not employed. Again no offence but I think its so crazy. Check the newspapers again and see how many jobs are there available. People who have good grades does not mean u will have a good life. The certificate u get when u grad is just license for u to go to the interview. thats all. and the rest is up to u!

If you are a member of a professional body, you have to pay the body la, hundred+ GBP if you are a practitioner IIRC

i need a working professional advisor.... i'm choosing accounting. but i still do not know which college i should enter? i dont need to study until work at overseas but i hope can work at the big company or high paid firm. which college i should go to? and if i only a degree holder can i work at these kind of company?

myself as an accounting sudent in mmu , beta year currently . if you think you really can cope up with Acca at sunway , go for it . i have friend there , good student ( score many A's and clever ) suffered at sunway . if you think i bullshit here , just ignored it .

Mmu melaka.
The lecturer is ok and well experienced. although the building of the campus look old a little , it is fine for me at least, " dont judge a book by its cover " ? evening , you can have some sport to relax your mind ,it more toward campus life . i m happy at here until today . the fees. not very expensive , affordable . as it is Ipts , Inti , Nilai , where also more or less the same amount of fess .
the degree of accounting at here can skipped a 5 paper of Acca iinm , if you really interested taking Acca after this .

Since you are studying in MMU Melaka campus, the accounting is under the faculty of business and law.
Is the syllabus identical to the MMU Cyberjaya campus or different?..

And do you mind to give more details on the fees and how will it be by breaking it down?..
