Your credit score will deternine if you can loan or not. It usually takes at least 1 year ++ of paying existing loans ON TIME without even 1 late payment for credit score to "get back up" to a decent score.

You need to subscribe to CTOS to hiew your credit rating.

I called in AKPK hotline, they say I have made the appointment today 3pm, its just that I will need to give 5 days for the counselor to call me back lol

Hi guys, I'm new here. I've been enrolled in AKPK DMP since 2014 with around 200k credit card outstanding balance from 7 different banks.
Today, I have circa 104k balance to settle and I plan to fully settle them now.

Like many of you have mentioned in previous posts, the best way of settlement is to call up individual banks and negotiate a discount/waiver/deal.

So far I've managed to convince 2 banks - HSBC and UOB to offer some discounts for full settlement and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. The other 5 banks are either not picking up my calls or they are not offering any discounts.
I'll post all the details I have gathered, including the collection department contacts of all the banks. Hopefully, this information can help someone in the same boat as me. If you know a better way of getting a discount, please drop me a message or reply to my thread.

So here goes:

Cimb Bank
Collection Department number: 03-20352437 / 03-20288654
- Offered a settlement proposal of around 8% discount. I decided not to settle yet because I'm not satisfied with the offer.

Standard Chartered
Collection Department number: 03-79467888
- They don't offer any discount unless it's in special recovery where I fail to pay AKPK for three months.

United Overseas Bank (UOB)
Collection Department number: 03-27832047
- Settled with 30% discount. An officer named Faly was very helpful in the process of proposal and settlement.

Hong Leong Bank
Collection Department number: 03-79591888 - press 1 then 4
- I've been trying to call them for days, was put on hold forever... still unable to speak to anyone.

Maybank
Collection Department number: 03-20708833 ext 6856 / 6843
- They don't offer discounts on the phone but advised me to email akpk@maybank.com.my for settlement discount, which I did and haven't got a reply from them. It's been a week now.

RHB
Collection Department number: 0326106407 / 0326106406
- No discount available =(

HSBC
Collection Department number: 03-20757859
- My account was already under a special unsecured loan which doesn't charge interest nor fees, so it's a no brainer to settle this one.
I hope this information can help someone out there. If you know a better way of getting discounts from the banks, please reach out to me =)

After you opted out of AKPK, you need to wait for 6 months, to let your CCRIS records to clean up = no AKPK = no bad records.

Then you may apply for loan, but please do not apply the new loan with those banks under AKPK before, use other new banks.

Still need to go to Bank Negara to get the first time user pin, correct?

just now called aeon, the lady terus update akpk and my name were removed, and said by this week will send me settlement letter.

my scb also gone from my akpk. waiting for letters too.
now waiting for my surat.

i also didnt receive any letter from scb and citibank after full payment. but they got update in ccris and akpk.

just realized that some of my ccriss that says akpk, have been updated. now pending 3 banks . haiz.. itulah, bnyk debt from different banks..huhu

what would the status be in customer portal once we have 'graduated' from AKPK?

how to get the login ? is it difficult and fast? now mco, got open ?

I got my login via my visit to BNM long time ago, IC+fingerprint with help from the officer there.

I am very keen to see CCRIS statement from those who have just gotten out of akpk. If anyone can share with me and other friends here please?

Depends bro..a few things foresee need to be ready.

1, ccris report all clean. After settle akpk, you might need to give some time for the report be updated clean. 6mth at least.

2. Hse or hp loan, apply the banks that you have no record with before. So be as clean possible for greater chance.

I managed to get a housing loan approved this week. So waiting for offer letter.

Banks main source of credit evaluation is from CCRIS. CTOS is like check directorship.
