I did my kitchen cabinet + 2 wardrobes + shoe rack wih SCI. I can say the price was affordable.

They completed the job on time and designer also called me up to update me on the progress.

I did mine at Bangi SCI.

You should be there when they installed the cabinets/wardrobes i guess just to make sure the contractor finished the job according to the plan. sometimes the contractor just simply do the job if nobody is monitoring them.

in my case, they didnt throw out the garbage after they finished the job. but SCI ppl came the next day after i complained.

I been to Puchong for quotation, the SE is friendly (Malay) but the quotation is almost same as IKEA....
As the concept also same like IKEA, ADD ON type.

Same designed I get almost 30-40% cheap from Unity and some renovation folk here...

Yeah, I m also looking at their one of their branch, they have this IPlus material which looks very nice, not sure how it compares to 3G material. SCI also has this Lumi quartz that looks very nice too. Very tempted but not sure how their service level is now.

Any comment or experience to share will be greatly appreciated.

How can a company has sales person and installer that differs in standard of services? It puzzles me! If I have to careful which sales person or installer I choose when I am buy something, I rather go else where.

Honestly, in Malaysia, is there any 'good service'? People keep saying, "cheaper is not good, good is not cheap". But if I am paying high price for something, I sure expect high quality service and product!

I feel like giving the sales person a good scolding especially when they give me that kind of 'tidak apa' or blank looks. I feel like telling them, if you are not happying working here, just quit.

Hard to say..In a company, there will be many cabinet sifus...Some of them can do great job, some of them do average job..
My friend did use back their KC company which built a wardrobe few years ago. But the workmanship is bad, due to the cabinet sifus alreday left the company.

I am one of SCI customers which get my cabinets installed last month.

Here goes my review -
Installers - I was very worry at first when I saw the reviews from this forum about the installers. However, Overall I am very satisfied with the Installer Sifu who worked on my kitchen cabinet and wardrobe.
Additionally, the Installers is chinese, not bangla or indonesia.
*Tiny complaint - The installers did not take away the leftover woods and just left it infront my house.

I got my L-shape swing door wardrobe for my house from SCI (uptown branch) 3 years ago.

Sales person (chinese guy but forgot his name)
- Good n explain in detail
- Come to on-site measurement as per agreed time (no late)

Sifu (chinese uncle with a chinese helper)
- Come to install as per scheduled date and time
- Installation nicely done (its just a very simple wardrobe anyway)
- Clear all leftover (my house is low-cost flat at 11th floor)
- Sifu just done everything quietly then left

Until today, the wardrobe still 90% new. Seems I am the LUCKY one!

Went to SCI Kota Damansara last month to get quote for my new house KC, serve by Mr.Sham. Spend few hours there. He draw out everything nicely with all prices in detail.

Anyway I postpone KC due to no budget after reno tongue.gif
Just to share my experience smile.gif
Cheers!

SCI = NO NO

I just recently went to their showroom at Sri Gombak..and its like HELL...
no one greeted me, I have to knock harder on the door..
been greetd..but not with smile..but with *grin*..
looks at us, seems we dont have $$....no greeting like "Please come"...
just stood like statue...when we voice out..that I have made booking at "Perfect Livin"..stret asked who's your sales person that time...
is that an attitued for such called BIG company..cannot entertain us, unless their names written in the booking form...they made called to HQ and asking abt the sales person...
and told us...need to wait, their appointed sales person will contact you....

my fuss was that....suddenly im free that day...
i've brought my measurement..brought my layout for my warddrobe project....but none of them (there were 3 person in the showroom, sitting on their desk) help us to quote our project...why do I need to wait???
I've come all over from Cheras..and this is the service been given?
HELL NO.....
i'm doing part-time business too, and i know whats customer right would be....their service = WORST i have been (since i started my house reno project)

sadly...my booking that I made at the exhibition not refundable...
in that case I have to wait lorrrr...otherwise my rm500 will gone...
will update more on SCI...if they do call me...

Well, you should contact the sales person that serve you during Perfect Livin, didn't he/she gave you her name card or anything?
All the while I have been dealing directly with the sales person who serve me when I pay deposit in home exhibition. The sales person did email me the drawings and final quotation after exact measurement at my home.

Added on October 17, 2012, 12:08 pmAfter my KC and Wardrobe Installation, there are two defects found.
I have called the sales person and now they are arranging someone to come and check.

SCI has 6mths warranty period after installation.
Will update here whether they will take any action upon my complaint on defects.

The thing i learn is that the management sort off lost control on all the branches and sales person. Their advertisement recently in the newspaper stated a customer careline, anyone who tried calling this will be in for a nasty surprise. No one picks up!!! Call a few more times, someone will hang up the phone and you will not get through for the next 1 hour!! How i know? I was one of those who tried calling them! So this makes me very worried on whether to engage them.

If customer careline do not care, which is very ironic when you advertised it as such, than i m not sure who will care once i paid up!

Ok, I got my KC and wardrobe finally installed by SCI.

Here's what I observed.

Like most of you, I was worried about the quality of the KC and the installers after reading all these comments here in LY. Anyways, I guess I'm one of the lucky few that got an experienced KC installer. I'm pretty happy with the workmanship. Took about 6 hours to get both the KC and wardrobe done up.

I went to the Setia Alam branch. If you need to look anyone, just look for Chris. He's a bit old school since he uses pencil to draw smile.gif Just make a personal request to get a good installer, which I did.

So far, I'm happy with my kitchen smile.gif
