What's the point of the logo on the t-shirt if you are wearing a sweater over it anyway? What kind of sweater are you talking about?
By the way, when you wanna do layering, it's best to layer with plain items. No graphics, only patterns if you must.

Sounds like a disaster.

Admit it, you want to wear your new blazer but you are afraid people might ridicule you for being "too formal". So you want to try to dress it down with the t-shirt. Right? Am I right?

Instead of going for something totally casual like a t-shirt (which totally doesn't go with slacks and/or jacket), you can dress it down using cloth material and colour.
Like instead of a dress shirt, go for a oxford cloth button down.
Instead of a pair of trousers, go for coloured chinos.

The material of the blazer is also important. Since it's from Topman, I'm guessing polyester blend?

By the way, the black slacks is fine (you are talking about those polyester "smart" trousers right?) if you are selling insurance or MLM.

Erm, its actually a red themed dinner, but instead of wearing normal red dress shirts and tie, I am thinking of wearing a (quite tight) red tshirt instead with a blazer. Budget problem and dont wanna waste too much $ on this since I already have the red tshirt and topman blazers.
About the black slacks, how about I change it to khakis colour long pants or jeans, I'm not sure how it's called (Levi's that type). Will it look too unformal for a dinner? Cause the theme is formal, but I don't think a lot of the participant will wear too formal like those going to prom.

For example, like this link below,

http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/inde...ategoryID=55332

why is it "t-shirt (which totally doesn't go with slacks and/or jacket)"? just asking for opinion.

what colour is the blazer anyway?

even if u want to wear a tshirt, a v-neck one would be better. no graphics of course

it's always better to be overdressed rather than under-dressed, my friend. take off the tie and unbutton the top button of the dress shirt if u dont want to look too formal. ever thought about red socks? biggrin.gif

Red gingham shirt, red stripe shirt, red tie...
The possibilities are endless.

Or shock all your friends and show up in burgundy trousers. biggrin.gif

PS: It just doesn't. You can wear t-shirts with shorts, chinos, jeans... but trousers? Blazers? Just no.

it is perfectly fine to wear a t-shirt under a blazer if you work in the porn or prostitution industry. heck, just wear a blazer with nothing underneath it but some thick gold chains.

Scarf's in Malaysia, worn casually and loosely to compliment a shirt.

Grey small checked shirt with an olive scarf black jeans and black shoes.

What are your views on the lads and scarfs? To Korean?

I have a pair of grey suede moccasins (boat shoes). I don't have a good sense of fashion.

Been wondering what kind of pants that I can match with these shoes.

Dark blue jeans? (I think will look good)
Dark brown chinos/khakis?

Anyone can help? Thx

Yea, bought it only to realise it's hard to match. Somehow, i find dark brown easier to match with jeans/khakis/chinos etc etc...

So, brown suede is better in terms of flexibility or the other way round? tongue.gif

wear a suit, or if you don't have one, wear a white shirt with suspenders, and buy the 3 following items:

i have a money saving tip for the moustache which isn't forum appropriate. hint: it will be curly.

alternatively, you could tell your cousin that you have better things to do with your time.

hmm... apart from Mafia look? Anything more casual and easier to find in stores?
was thinking of Miner look, a jeans, boots, plain white shirt and a old school cap(no idea what they called it)
Cos I really dont wanna spend just for that and kept in closet and I must attend cos she's my beloved cousin..
