QUOTE(Dannyl @ Apr 23 2010, 02:44 PM) Wanna ask something... the oscillation of the movements determines the smoothness of the second hand sweep, correct? I just bought a watch with Miyota 8210 movement at 21,600 bph, which is jerky. Just being curious - what movements have silky smooth sweep? My first experience with clocks/watches (when I was a few years old) was with a family wall clock. The clock had perfectly smooth second hand sweep... I doubt its got to do with the beat.http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=189869 SW200 beat at 28800BPH ETA 7750 and ETA 2671 also same rate but I am finding my SW200 a bit jerky. don't know the season, maybe hands too heavy? QUOTE(Dannyl @ Apr 23 2010, 09:36 PM) It'll be perfect if it has Breguet type hands and lume. Strangely, the shop says the watch doesn't have a manual... and the box is randomly selected from a pile of similar looking boxes. Is this normal? The box itself is selling for $12.85USD. congrats on your purchase, I gather u got from skywatches.com.sg, care to provide a review on them?http://www.skywatches.com.sg/watches/produ...roducts_id=3303 ![]() usually those Breguet hands do not have any lume. QUOTE(miaopurr @ Apr 24 2010, 10:28 PM) here's roughly what a Sinn U1 would look like on my wrist. just go in and try in on and get a feel.taken from http://forums.watchuseek.com/showpost.php?...15&postcount=35 and that's a U1 on a 6.5" wrist. mine's 6" only can see u are still indecisive its Sinn, Omega or Doxa.. |

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Apr 25 2010, 09:04 AM) Wow, cheap and nice, thanks for the info! And according to WatchUSeek, Seagull movements are very accurate too. Might just consider them for my next watch those ST21 are nice work horse, even some swiss company copy their design and manufacture it in Switzerland. No, that Swatch is an automatic. The other automatic is a skeleton. The rest are chrono, I believe. issue with seagull branded watches is quality esp U are getting direct from china. although their movement when regulated well are accurate but they do have QC issue. most Foreigner on watchuseek I believe got it from seagullusa, I read some where they did some QC on their own. many yrs ago so many return.. LEMONS! |

QUOTE(Waachaaa @ Apr 25 2010, 09:31 PM) Guys, need some opinion here the auto is more sporty.. not really classy IMHOI need a Class and Professional watch here The PRC200 yellow needle and the Automatic 1 is RM1K difference The Automatic seems much more class n professional look However its quite huge for my hand. the auto is 4mm larger.. auto esp 7750 usually cost more. the movement along cost around US$400 already. the quartz maybe US$70. so the extra 1k u putting up isn't really that much. U might wanna look for Hamilton, maybe Christopher Ward (http://www.christopherward.co.uk/), similar price range. This post has been edited by patryn33: Apr 25 2010, 09:47 PM |

whats the pt of using a ETA 2836 since there isn't day date display?
the diff btw ETA 2836 and 2824 is the day. ETA 2824 don't have day. 2836 belong to the same family as 2824. ETA 289X series then is a upgrade from 2824 family. that MKII Kingston, pre ordering alreadying going on, 200 pcs are gone! prices already out. size maybe nice for miaopurr, close to 40mm Pre-order Price: USD$700 on bracelet plus S&H Standard Price: USD$875.00 on bracelet plus S&H http://www.mkiiwatches.com/WSWrapper.jsp?m...le_kingston.htm owner of MK2.. QUOTE(nando @ Apr 27 2010, 12:33 PM) this type? issue with alot German mechanical clocks parts are brass made. according to the watchmaker here. They told me only can last 30-40yrs then I would need to get a new movement! they only recommend me to service it 1 time after 5-10yrs then don't service it as its not worth the money. here it cost over US$150 to get it cleaned and oil. a new movement may cost close to price of new clock.http://www.cuckookingdom.com/_e/1_Day_Chal...odel_1674_9.htm ![]() |
