can i find Mont Blank around RM1k-2k budget?
*
Mont Blank (fake Montblanc) I am certain U can find lesser than RM1k!!
if its Montblanc under rm$2K, not possible as the cheapest quartz model starts around rm$4k.
if U can get staff purchase (50% off) thats would be within your budget.
Apple_Wannabe know ppl to staff purchase, can start checking in with him.

if u can wait, a good value dress watch could be obtain thru Stowa.com
else try entry level brands such as Oris, Epos. edox, hamilton, mido

I got a Omega Speedmaster Professional from my dad. He bought it in mid 70 if not mistaken. condition is 60% wear and tear. Dont have it right now , in out station. Will post when i coming back next year January.

Anyway , this is my U-BOAT ITALO FONTANA , My Strap metal piece has gone..sigh.. have to go back Malaysia to fix it

As you can see the strap has been unattached since the small metal piece gone
spring bar gone, easy fix.. can even do it do on your own. the leather very worn out too seem like its your daily beater.

yup, if u know the people, just try to ask for discount... they will usually go from 25% to 30% depending how well u know them
*
ball watches? discount is very much controlled... discount range usually from 20-25%. 30% is hard.. today poor econ maybe possible if U pay cash.
anyway, resale value U can see its weak.. a like new Ball with over 1.5yr of warranty on it is selling 50-60% off its retail value!

do any of you know the price for Tudor Hydronaut II ? LINK . Am looking for a new watch within 5500 budget :/ normally how many percent do retailers give on tudor watches? and what are the model of the entry for tudor?
Besides Tudor, do you guys recommend anything within my budget? ( I don't really like oris or ball though ).
*
generally AD prices after discount are higher than grey market. so when u see US$1960 on that site its grey market prices.
discount for tudor is around 15%.
entry model is anything steel, on leather, with day or without day models.

looking for brand? specifically diver watch I gather
mido can get COSC, Titoni I think also can get COSC watch with that budget.
fortis, sinn, jeanrichard, louis erard, longines, Hamilton

- fortis B-42 diver?
- jeanrichard diverscope
- louis erard la sportive
- longines hydro conquest or conquest
- Hamilton navy
- mido all dial COSC
- titoni cosmo king

not looking for big time brands tons to choose from.
eg:
- Mk2
- Steinhart
- orange watch company
- ocean7
- http://www.guinand-watch.com/ (owned by Sinn founder)

9 affordable diver watch tested and reviewed.

leather strap.

was looking at a Tissot PRC200, but when i tried it on it really wasn't me, strap width was too thin.

Thanks for the replies so far. Will have a look at them. Any specific model to look at?

I actually was wearing a Fossil before this, one of those self-winding ones. It died on me and left me with a pretty bad impression on the brand. Hence I thought I had to look at watch brands like Tissot. Otherwise I actually liked the Fossil Aviator series.

Hence, was hoping to look at Swiss watch brands like Tissot and such, but don't know what they have at the 700-900 range.
fossil used chinese mechanical movement, not really my type esp U are spending 700-900 on it.
Fossil Aviator series? look like what? a quick google didn't pick up anything but sunglasses!

I rather get the above swiss army, swiss movement. priced at US$266 on ebay a great deal considering the movement itself cost ~US$130.
U can try Tissot, Hamilton, Titoni they are swiss.
german/us brands with swiss movement? Ollech & Wajs, ARISTO, http://www.bernhardtwatch.com
http://gnomonwatches.com/index.htm
if U don't mind russian can try Poljot, buran, Vostok Europe.

IWC wasn't for me...*wink*
edit:

Anybody know the lug width/size of Tissot PRC200s? Can't find a Tissot online catalouge that shows the details.
*
IWC not for U! can buy for other ppl as gift! rich man!

whats the lug size u looking at? usually men's watch.. those case at 42mm... lug size is around 22mm. smaller face 38-40... usually around 19-20mm would be my guess.
lug size != thickness of strap, lug size only dictates how wide the strap can get

limited budget can shop online.. grey market prices can get more watch for little $$
can try http://www.thewatchery.com

PRC200 collection very big.. which watch u looking at?
typically swiss such as Tissot, I suspect they operated like Hamilton... movement from ETA however case and strap manufactured in Asia.

so many fake tissot!
