wanna ask, how to check my iphone 3gs 32gb is under maxis warranty? i typed my serial number at applestore self service there, and choose malaysia for the state, it didn't show anything from there, and i choose other states, same thing came out, i only can check the warranty valid until when at 'more information for my iphone' but canot check for which reseller giving me warranty, anyone knows how to check it is warranty under maxis?

If it's via Maxis, U should have received a Maxis Service Card together with the iPhone

yea yea, i got maxis warranty card, but can i prove it through apple store website? because got one buyer wants me to prove it through apple website so i dono how@_@

Try this. Instead of typing the country as Malaysia, type Singapore. For 3G, that was the way, not sure about 3GS. Anyway, the Service/Warranty Card should suffice as an authentic warranty document.

You should b able to get the warranty off the Apple website but that's probably not accurate cause without the Maxis Service Card you're not going to be able to get it replaced should something happen to the unit [well, at least if you're not the one who signed up for the iPhone originally]

This forum is not the best place to ask such a question; your best bet is to call Maxis and check with them re availability of iPhones. Apparently there's still a waiting period.

how long is the waiting list.? maxis closed today...lol

You either go to any of the Maxis Centers to enquire or read the threads here and you will be able to gather some information.

I enquired at the mid valley maxis & apple centre yesterday. still the waiting period is about a month., for a start.

However, I wish to know whether any of you encountered hairline crack nearby power switch / silent switch / headphone jack / camera hole / port connector on the recent batch of black coloured phones? I searched Google and found out this was frequently happened to older iPhone 3G set. Thanks in advance for your time.

This hairline crack is pretty common esp amongst the White models. For the Black sets, best to check.

There ain't very bug chance that they will release 8gb version since they r selling 8gb 3G unless they hv decided to end the production of i3G.
