not worth it mate, u have to unlock it using gevey sim n u cant update ur ios all time since it will lock back ur phone..just buy the local set mate, local set is free sim/official unlocked version which can be use with any sim card around the world.. the price different only rm100 mate but its worth it...seriously its worth...besides the price for the local sets is higher than the us set if u want to sell it later..

But i got very good offer for ip4 us set. I have to only topup 200 with my tab, others rm500 to topup with my tab, and thats for ip4 16gb.

seriously dude, although its a good offer u need to think the advantage of it, ifuse local set u dont need to think anything about the sim lock..and can update to latest ios version without hesitation..if using us set u need to think about gevey sim n the way to claim warranty if the phone problem..if local set, just sent to maxis,digi,celcom centre to claim warranty.if us set got problem u need to go to singapore to claim warranty since apple malaysia not provide warranty claim services for iphone...nearest apple store that accept it is singapore...so think of it mate...

I was also like you. due to the feeling of wanting to own an iphone 4, I almost bought oversea set which is a locked iphone. after getting advice from fellas in this tered, I waited and keep refreshing and waiting for new iphone 4 for sale thread at trade zone.

After 1 day only, I got an offer with the same price as the locked phone for an unlocked iphone 4 with 10/11 months remaining of celcom warranty.

the key is to be patient and keep searching! imma bargain hunter so I used to this kind of thing. lol

rumors stated it will launch this september/october...just wait for iphone 5 mate....

Do I monitor this thread for news on iPhone 5 or is there another dedicated thread for it? I'm waiting for the new version to arrive in Malaysia. Decided to change after faithfully using my iPhone 3G since Day 1 official launch in Malaysia

Although I hardly run apps on it due to performance in speed & battery life, my iPhone really needs an upgrade Any advice guys? Maybe jailbreaking would do some good? Since it's not under Maxis warranty anymore.
