If someone selling an iPhone 3GS with part number MB, what does it mean?

If owner dont know whether the iphone is US or SG Set , can we identify the iphone from which country?

sorry if im asking a question that has been brought up alot of times, newbie here, anyway heres the question

if i purchase an iphone 3gs in US. will i be able to use it here?..it is $399 from apple store right ?...or does that price only comes with sim locked to at&t ?..will i be able to unlock it here?...do they sell unlocked iphones already over there , if so does anybody can tell me whats the price ?...thanks in advance for the help guys.

so if i buy from them..it is confirmed locked to AT&T right ?..then im able to send to shop for unlocking right ?...i see ur post there that u provide unlocking service?...how much do u charge?

But always remember if u use unlock software and a new software comes out u need unlocked again.

meaning?..i need to update/ unlocked for new firmware , then only i can download new apps ?...firmware update is it similar to jailbreaking ?..unlocking is sim unlock right ?...sorry..newbie here..im not sure where else to ask..thanks for u guys helps...i appreciate it.

just ask .. beside MAXIS who will supply micro sim in MAL now ? am in US and iphone4 look attractive to me

I'll be going to the US at the end of this month, and I'm planning to get an iPhone 4 for my wife and I. However, I've heard the ones sold in the US is locked to AT&T. How then do I bring it back to Malaysia and have it working with any of our local telcos? Please advice... :$

What's the difference between the one in SG and the one in Malaysia? Both are unlocked anyway, right/

other than the official unlock, warranty by maxis is somehow or rather than sending back to SG .. rite?

I have not own any iphone yet. Pity me.   But wish to get an iphone4.

i'm curious.. can i update ios4 direcly using itunes with iphone 3gs unlocked (sim free)? or i have to do extra step? because im curious to know if that could cause something to unlocked iphone.

I try to google it, even some web in US and Egypt say that they just got iphone 3GS with MB717LL series
so I'm wondering whether my friend get cheated or not
