I called Apple Malaysia and they mentioned that there's no support for AppleCare For iPhone and only certain countries covers AppleCare for iPhone. like US etc.

The iPhone_Part_Model_Number.pdf will tell you that Malaysia is officially unlock as stated by Apple. When it comes to Officially Unlock iPhone units, you can use any simcard around the world with the phone. To put it in simple context, you slot in DIGI, Maxis, Celcom or UMobile simcard, it will work flawlessly.
