Haha. No ideas. All Malaysians can buy iPhones through local Telcos only. Unless, you get an oversea set. hehe lol

Apple Store Iphone4 = Telco Company Iphone
You can buy & Signup plan Digi or Maxis Iphone at Apple Store..
But Claim and Warranty need to do at Maxis or Digi Center only ... Not Apple Store

Please refer to pinned tread.
[Guide] iPhone 2G/ 3G / 3GS/ 4
Section : iPhone 4 Part/Model Number:- [credit:raptar_eric]

Additional info:
Singapore is the first (now also Israel) country that forbids outright SIM locking and contract/phone bundling. Singapore's telecommunications regulator has ruled that the competition clause in mobile carriers' licenses means SIM-locking is not allowed, and has warned at least one operator for selling SIM-locked phones.

Now that Apple US has started selling factory unlocked iPhone 4, I'm not sure how the warranty is going to be like? Will it be under Apple USA warranty etc etc? Maybe they will roll this out internationally and have the same warranty like the iPad which will be really cool.

guys im planning to buy an Iphone4 but the new samsung sgs2 is really tempting me too, what i wanna know is iphone really suitable for me provided that i mostly play games and surf the web with my phone, most importantly it has some fancy interface or UI, i don't really care about the hardware difference between iphone and sgs2 since it is fine for me as long the phone appear smooth and fast response in every aspect especially gaming or normal usage. Btw even if iphone5 is available this Christmas, the price of iphone4 won't drop drastically like other phone and will still hold some value right?

For me I used to lean towards Samsung Galaxy S because of the hardware.
HOWEVER, the moment I try both devices, I opt for iPhone because:

1: iOS is very smooth compare to Android OS in Galaxy S.

2: This one is the turning point. The iPhone 4 screen. The moment I look at it, I straight away plan when and where to buy the phone. The screen is way too beautiful and sharp.

3: The vast collection of apps.smile.gif

4: And many more (jokes aside tongue.gif )
