This is the eyepiece cover (cropped from my point-and-shoot, obviously the camera was in the picture):

I don't have any more pictures of it as I usually tuck the strap away when taking a picture of my Alpha.

The A900 is the only Alpha which does not come with an eyepiece cover as it has a built-in eyepiece shutter (to prevent light from entering from the viewfinder during long exposures.) The eyepiece cover also holds the flash hotshoe cover that comes with the A100/A700/A900.

vcvx: Velcro is a bit iffy and slow. I prefer my method, gel held in place by cardboard, and anchored by the diffuser panel:

The A200/A300/A350 don't have it. The price for these models already rock bottom so Sony decided to skimp on the covers lor... Hehehehe.

You can buy them from Sony Style but hard to get them in stock ler...

i never notice that other alpha got flash cover before.. LOL..
must ask them how much next time when i'm going to sony workshop..

dingenius: Actually you don't need the cover. It prevents oxidization but you can scrape it off with your fingernails, and anyway I never used the cover once I got the flash because it's just too tedious.

About straps and covers and stuff, which comes with which:

Flash hotshoe cover (Sony FASHC1AM) - A100, A700, A900
Remote Commander clip - A100, A200, A300, A350, A700, A900
Eyepiece cover / flash hotshoe cover holder - A100, A200, A300, A350, A700
Cheap Sony neckstrap (SONY letters can fall off) - A200, A300, A350
Good Sony neckstrap - A100, A700, A900
Wireless Infrared Remote Control - A700, A900

Could a moderator put this on the front page? Thanks!

guys,
need your advice. my gf want to buy a flash for me. dont know which one i want to choose. f42 or f58 or 3rd party. what advantage f58 instead of f42?
