Some FAQ:
FAQ: What are CVSD and MSVC. Solution: CVSD is Cyberon Voice Speed Dial which is mostly the default voice application in most shipped ROMs. MSVC is Microsoft Voice Command which is an advance voice application from MS. Unfortunately I use NONE of them... can't tell you actual experience (actually I don't know how to use them... :$) |

@Daneva, your "bugs", did you Hard Reset right after flashed the new ROM?
I'm using Dutty 1.90, haven't tried neither 1.90b or V1 HP. One camera bug with 1.90, after snapping photo in camera mode, view it via Album, then go back to camera mode, the screen remain blank(black). Need to close Camera completely and reopen it then can only get back to real-time camera mode. The GPS drop problem I had with 1.8 has fixed in 1.90. Proven not Radio problem. Update: Latest user feedback in XDA about Dutty 1.9 is the TIME BOMB hasn't FIXED!!! I have 2 hours+ to prove this is true/untrue! This post has been edited by maesus: Feb 28 2009, 10:00 PM |

QUOTE(kylinlee @ Feb 28 2009, 03:10 PM) As mentioned on previous thread, u can install "FlipIt", "Gyrator", "ChangeScreen" etc to rotate ur screen. So, ur full QWERTY keyboard will become landscape! I use the "hard" way... I use the so-called "new" sensor by the new ROM, goto Registry HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSensor/GSensor/WhiteList and add the apps I want to make them rotatable in this list. It works flawlessly. But it's slow as the polling rate is said to be 1.5 second, meaning u have to wait as long as 1.5 seconds before your app can rotate.I can't tell others like FlipIt, ChangeScreen etc using the same Registry entry, or where can I change the polling rate in the registry, then I might not need those apps at all. |

sweetcow, before u send MMS, do you see "H" or "3G" icon at your taskbar? During sending MMS, what animated icon do you see on the taskbar?
I have no problem using Maxis 3G settings and need not to manually set anything since the first time I set it. What I experienced is, at area where 3G is weak, the phone will revert back to GSM mode, "G" or "E" icon shown, and all MMS will send via GPRS / EDGE mode. Can you try again at area that has very strong 3G or "H" ? |

I've flashed V1-HP. It is fast! I feel it's even faster than Dutty 1.9! However, there are too much customization that I don't like. Dutty ROM is much cleaner.

I've been using Duttys V2 for about ... 24hours, no bug found. It's the stablest ROM by far with Manila v3!
I continue using 1.12 Radio, and don't care about the GPS no signal-strength problem. The reason is 1.12 radio increases GPS to 16 channels, from previous radio's 12 channels. Theoretically this makes GPS locks faster, more accurate, but takes more power. What the heck, we can only "see" GPS satellites at hemisphere, and only 31 satellites are active, 16 channels is more than enough for now kylinlee, I don't have your 01x-xxxxxxx problem. |

Added on March 2, 2009, 10:25 pm QUOTE(Baronic @ Mar 2 2009, 07:06 PM) My first question would be, how would those PS2 games able to work with Touch / Tapping as input?? No problem about WVGA, you can always use WVGAFIX to change to VGA screen size. This post has been edited by maesus: Mar 2 2009, 10:25 PM |

QUOTE(spaceman @ Mar 3 2009, 10:48 AM) Thanks, will be flashing to Dutty v2 soon after so many positive responses I don't fully agree that those are bugs, but more as incompatibility of older apps to support newer Manila. Just need to wait until those experts able to fully understand Manila v3 and update their apps to support Manila v3. Edit: Checked on both links above, nay still some small but critical bugs (for me), so I'll just wait another couple of days till weekend until I flash to new manila, though I can't really wait...... Added on March 3, 2009, 10:52 am Hi guys, Since you're always facing these problems even after flashing to new roms. I've seen similar issue/complaint in xda. What they suggest: -try to flash to STOCK ROM first (eg. 1.19), then flash to cook rom of your choice again. -don't install any third-party apps (eg. CEStar) -check if you're still facing the same prob with new manila. Good luck!!! I have no problem CE-Star with Dutty V2. |

kylinlee, installed CE-Star, went to Phone mode, typed 01xxxxxxxx (no hyphen "-" ), then a) press Talk, worked; b) press back key, back to Home; c) press Home key, back to Home; press "red" key, back to Home; d) press "green" key, starts calling.
No hang experienced. hmm... what happened to your phone? any number also cause hang? I'm using Maxis, you? |

kylinlee,
My hypothesis ... CE-star + chinese characters... I truly suspect it could be ONE or few of your contact list that cause the problem, maybe some special/chinese character you use ... Maybe you can try other non-CE-Star Chinese fonts /chinese input methods ... Added on March 3, 2009, 10:19 pmyoohoo... Davidueck WM6.5 V4 is OUT!!!! with Manila v3 !!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475285 tempting to try.... but I really like the now-stable Dutty's HD V2. finger itchy itchy.... update: ops, my mistake. it's only WM6.5 + old Manila. not the latest Manila...only new keyboard and calculator ... hmm m This post has been edited by maesus: Mar 3 2009, 10:26 PM |

QUOTE(daneva @ Mar 4 2009, 10:33 AM) Hi maesus, Hi Daneva,If it is for wm6.5, do we need to upgarde the OS to wm6.5 to flash this new rom or this new rom come with wm6.5, we just flash as normal (without having to upgarde from wm6.1 to wm6.5)? Cheers, the ROM itself has the whole wm6.5 image inside. You just flash as normal and you'll have WM6.5. Added on March 4, 2009, 9:39 pmspaceman and sweetcow, there are other TF3D customization for you to get rid of the flip clock. Are you expecting a well done cab file for analog clock, or you like to DIY and hack the *_manila files ? I have requested maxycy @ http://www.modaco.com/content/blackstone-b...e-for-touch-hd/ to write a HOW-TO or share some hacking tips for the customizations. Go ahead and check the contents of the link. But if you want easier approach (like me, *.cab files Diamond has been out with TF3D much longer time than Blackstone (Touch HD) and many of the Diamond customizations can work with Blackstone well. If you found something cool, may you share your experience here. This post has been edited by maesus: Mar 4 2009, 09:39 PM |

Finally, the all background mod for Manila v3 is out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=491079
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=479112 I've tried and it actually stretch the picture from 480x to 800x. Haven't tried a 800x picture yet, maybe it doens't need to stretch at all. Anyone tried? This post has been edited by maesus: Mar 10 2009, 08:41 PM |
