You can refer to this thread in head-fi forums. Very good spread of headphones, just find something in your budget. Most of it are not 'gaming headsets' but work well in gaming.

The list is not exaustive though and the writer is a console gamer that uses a external mix amp. Furthermore, it concentrates on Dolby Surround in gaming and how it works for him. His guide is useful if you're searching for some all rounders and don't need a mic.

OK so far few hours use, is good.

More bass than my A700. Very obvious in CS:GO as the sounds on my A700 much more crisp. Where as the Carcharias more muddle because of the bass. But does not affect gameplay.

Music wise, jazz sounds great.

Comfort wise I would rate it very good. Very light headset, and hardly any clamping feeling. This also will not filter out side noise as much though because it is not tight fitting. More like cushion on the ears. But it is also will feel loose if u bend your head down, the headset will move a bit. Maybe my head is small.  Wore it for few hours, no sweat, no hot at the ears. Ear also does not feel any pain or strain. 

Mic is clear sounding, recorded myself testing and it filters out my fan noise, but have to mic boost it by +10db. Boosting mic to +20db will make it too noisy.

Wire is  damn long. Almost 3m. Also braided and very light but tend to get everywhere unless you tie it nicely.

So far first impression is great. No complains.
