if base on value, ya it is worth it. But even with all these, is it worth having a 5800, nah.... cos paying RM1300 for something like a prototype and laggy and beta-level is kinda wasteful. Cos if u say so, wouldn't having a G900 equally value for its money since it has wifi and touchscreen too. not forgetting too, for that amount, u can get a HTC Touch Viva which is very much better than 5800 since Winmo has been around for god knows how long and HTC is pretty good his few years producing good handsets.

QUOTE(Double_Ace @ Jan 17 2009, 04:35 PM) Hi is it possible to buy this N97 from the Nokia Center by installments? Bcs i really want to buy this phone when it comes out but the price surely will leave a huge hole in my pocket,so anyone here ever bought a phone through a nokia center by installment??? Buying a phone using installment (translate added interest) is a no-no because phone depreciate from the start of your purchase. So you are paying extra for something that is already depreciating.

QUOTE(Pennywise @ Jan 18 2009, 01:52 AM) Same is applied for cars but you dont see that stopped people from driving, yes? Because not everyone can fork out a lump sum to buy a car. If one is capable, please to do so as well. Phone is different, can't fork out a few thousands? just bloody save the money. Plus when you finally manage to save up the money, the current price for that new handset might already drop as well which doesn't apply to cars. Car price dropped year end true but car also depreciate more straight after purchase by the end of the year, so bad second hand value (pros and cons but let's not dwell more into the details coz the thread is not about cars). Worse come to worse, just buy a cheaper phone which you can afford if you desperate needed one but a cheaper car that you can "afford" is still at least 30k or so, which is a big sum for many people. You picked a rather incorrect analogy to justify purchasing through installment. This post has been edited by nebousuke: Jan 18 2009, 02:21 AM

you have to know that for the phone retailers that offer such installment or easy payment options (yes I know they are 0% interest), are ALL original sets with marked up price. Don't believe me please find the newspaper ads on Courts mammoth, Harvey Norman, I remember in Courts an N73ME costs RM1.4k... so good luck with your easypayment

Sorry boss, just simply think that there's no harm buying something u like with installment as long as the buyer feels worth it. No offense yah!

HAHA... yeah I get what you mean, don't mean to come out harsh on you. However, the feeling of "want" is pretty much spontaneous in nature. If one have the money to burn for that "want", fair enough. However, having to bear the cost of that spontaneous feeling with debt that you have to repay in installment might be a price to high to pay. Well that's the angle viewing from, anyway. Pretty boring huh?
