@preducer
We all have different responsibilities & areas of concern.
If you do find our retail crew not up to standard, please let our managers know, so that we can address it.

AFAIK, Apple doesn't allow 2 APR in the same shopping mall. So I don't think its true that LowYat will have 2 Apple resellers...

@DikkieD

again, I'm speculating only... cos before 1U, I've never seen 2 different company open Apple-based store in the same building...

@jasperng
please keep your wrong info to yourself. thanks.

@D3vilsim
if you're using the MacBook, RAM & HDD is definitely user-replaceable. will not void warranty. You may contact AppleCare to confirm this.

if you're using the Unibody MacBook Pro, then the above applies as well.

if you're using the Aluminium (non-unibody), only RAM is user replaceable.

good luck,
typically easy payment charges for the merchant is around 6 / 7 %... how is the merchant supposed to pay their overheads + costs?
I like the convenience of easy payment as well... have you contacted your bank and asked them to convert your payment to 12 or 24 months ?

my bank wanted to charge me 5%... I think the banks expect retailers to mark up the prices of the items...

@hackwire
my experience working in this line has shown me that there's 2 options for the businessmen out there.
1. spend a lot of money in the beginning, gain a large mind-share so people think your company is a big one, and then cash in. quality is secondary.
2. keep it small & simple but it pays your own bills & keeps you afloat. quality is a convenience, only when necessary.

to be really really honest about it, the Malaysian entrepreneurs are mostly the 2-bit types, trying to make a quick buck and cash in. In the Apple line of business, that doesn't seem like a good idea, at least to me.
Apple's method overseas is strictly inside their own retail stores only. The APR & AAR overseas... well, its not the same thing.
So if you want the experience like the Apple\Retail method, ... you got RM5 million to spend ?

yup yup. the thing is, even with a 10-page thread, machines staff & management just don't care, and why should they?
the forumers here complain, and still go and buy there anyway. if we expect change, we should vote with our wallets, and not buy from a shop with bad service.
if the shop has feedback forms, I would argue they've already missed the point. you don't see feedback forms at a Porsche dealership or a BMW dealership, right? they just do it right smile.gif

Re: Apple Malaysia : you're asking about P&C business practices in a public forum. if anyone knew, they wouldn't be able to answer anyway smile.gif
if you wanna find out, contact Apple Malaysia... you already have the contact details, yes? smile.gif

Re: what is the problem with machine : they are very very successful, 7 stores in all the major shopping malls. no other APR has ever been able to do that since never smile.gif
so, it looks like the management has this "We are doing it right, cos we are still meeting all our sales targets & doing everything we need to be doing" theory.

you and I and all the other forumers here can complain all we like about them not being like Apple (Cupertino) ... in the end, results speak louder.

that's mainly cos the machines staff don't know how to 'demonstrate' a Mac.

any old PC can facebook / farmville ... heck, now even an iPhone can do that smile.gif
