rawfish nice games this morning u are good i can vote for it smile.gif but still need more training using honda myself.... laugh.gif

Thanks, i think both gave each other a good fight. RM100 for a 4MB line is unheard of, so good for you as I think it's an excellent Streamyx deal that won't come again. But upload's still at 512kbps only right? When you search for Ranked/Player matches, how's other people's network bar strength? For me, 1 out of 20 have 3 bars, the rest are 0 or 1.

There's another 3s machine at Time Square 6th floor. Do let me know if anyone is up for a 3s games. No worry Dark I'm a Yun player biggrin.gif
*
Summit USJ has one also, but no one goes there. There's one also at Pac-Man @ Old Klang Road (near Citrus Park) and there used to be players there who used decent Yang and Akuma. It's on those wooden cabinets with really bad and hard buttons.

After playing SF4 I could not see myself playing 3S again, as I prefer SSFIIT/HDR style of gameplay.

Edit: I eat back my words - played 3S again today during the SF4 mini-tourney at Outpost Cafe.. and the love suddenly came back with all the people joining in the fun too, while waiting for their turn at SF4 casuals.

Hey Neobita, thanks for the detailed report!

Thanks for the wishes guys, all of my matches were very close and perhaps Rufus received the correct toy for his Happy Meal on that day so he was in good mood to fight. Next round I expect you guys here to come ok!

Yeah, I sticked with him till the end. But planning to bring the old fart out next.. LOL.

anybody know where to get street fighter 4 tournament edition fight stick?
*
Right now, eBay but it goes to around US500-600 or even more. A second batch from the initial 3000 is being planned. So may want to stick with a Play-Asia pre-order once they opened up their slots or if you can try Amazon. But you need to freight forward it back here since they don't send games to this country. But be prepared for taxes.

Moving on to HDR, everyone watch out for the patch - FINALLY:

Hey fremont/vic - nice Seimetsu bubbletop there! How long did you waited from the moment you made the order till shipment arrived?

Yeah, I don't think the buttons are significantly different unless you're a very high-end player.  I certainly don't think it's improved my game, although the buttons are *very* responsive.  So many times I press accidently and do wrong move. laugh.gif

However, the mod is fun to do (IMO, at least on a HRAP), you can change your stick appearance to look more pleasing to the eye, and also increase the resale value of your stick. wink.gif  Not that I'm planning on selling!  tongue.gif
*
Mike, count me in - or you can ask Nick as well. He's getting some Sanwas from his Jap friends. I have yet to get a stick which can accept OBSF30 switches. Nick knows some contacts for the carpentry and finish, i think.

Sorry guys to those who've invited me... I am quite tied up with work still and at home I'm busy with some projects. After DL-ing the patch I walked through Ryu in Arcade Mode. Still cannot cancel the scrolling Credits like SF4 sad.gif

About the HRAP3 buttons, I didn't really find much of a difference in them...

On which platform do you play MvC2 on?

QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Mar 19 2009, 10:51 AM)
thanks for the games to fremont, where got keep loosing ? can get no where near your gief !!! hahah

actually, been doing some muscle memory training cuz very frust with the hard trial , cannot complete argghhh .. .. .. rawfish, when u wanna come help me with the trials ???

as for the SANWA parts now i have these people on my list

1) rawfish
2) lykiat
3) nick (most probably)
4) mikeeeee (8 obsf30 - black, 2 black start button and 1 black ball top)

pls list down what u want in the format above so that i can start communicating with them on the purchase smile.gif

however, their business seems to be too good that they have to stop accepting new orders for a week or so in order to complete the existing orders.

maybe, by the time we confirm our list, they should be back smile.gif
*
Nick included himself in your order? I think he has better chances to get it directly from the supplier in Japan - instead of akihabara or lizardlick.

Btw, who are you having problems with, in the Hard Trial? I don't think you need my help but if you're officially inviting me to your residence then I'll be honoured smile.gif

5 more icons and titles (they come together) and Platinum for me yay!

Can I check on how many are still using wifi and whether you face problems connecting for matches? I can't seem to connect with some people like Mike, while face little problems (well other than lag) connecting to say Bliss or Fruitler. The strange thing is I can't even connect thru the patched SFIIHDR cry.gif now. Previously I have not face any major connection problems and my network settings has always remained status quo. Will be testing out wired today temporarily to determine whether my wifi is the culprit. Can't always use wire as its a good distance away from my router (PC room) to my PS3 and a wire running across rooms is extremely messy!

Yo bro interested to work together on some titles/icons especially "Bitter Victor - Unlocked by winning 30 rounds via Judgement".

Ya the hard trial 5 for Ken is crazy, after many weeks and a very sore thumb I gave up trying, I might seek some expert assistance soon  brows.gif . Another killer for me is the El- Feurte hard trial 4, looks so easy, but the timing is beyond me!

For those interested, e-Capcom Japan, is taking orders for the official DVD (to release in July) of the January 2009 Tokyo SF4 National Tournament in which Iyo (Dhalism) won. The price 5,040yen  shocking.gif. It comprises all matches from the qualifying tournament to all 128 matches of the official tournament. For details click here.
*
Didn't have time to connect to matches, sorry.

I am interested to work together for the icons/titles as I don't like timing-out on 30/60-second matches with friends. But I did plenty of Cheese finishes smile.gif I need 20+ more Perfects also. If ever get to login to PSN u can consider me as your kaki to achieve those stuffs!

I think I'll be putting this on hold. Gotta sort out the Paypal thing with me and Nick's friend in Japan to help with the order.

Anyway to all my friends here, this is the latest SF4 tier rankings fresh from the Land of the Rising Run! Courtest of Seth Killian's Blog

The arithmetic is WAY off on the chart (which is ironic, for reasons that will remain unmentioned).
Some matches don't add up to 10 (Eg. Cammy vs Gouken, is 4-4 WTF?)
The sum totals for each character was completely off too.
I just fixed it by taking the top half and extrapolated the bottom half from it. Here is the outcome:

1. Sagat 153(+33)

2. Balrog 140(+20)
3. Blanka 136(+16)
4. Zangief 135(+15)
5. Ryu 134(+14)
6. Seth 131(+11)

7. Chun Li 129(+9)
8. M.Bison 127(+7)
8. Rufus 127(+7)
10. Akuma 126(+6)
10. Ken 126(+6)
12. C.Viper 122(+2)
13. E.Honda 121(+1)

14. Dhalsim 120(-)
15. Guile 119(-1)
16. Gouken 118(-2)
17. Abel 117(-3)
18. El Fuerte 114(-6)
19. Fei Long 111(-9)

20. Vega 107(-13)
21. Cammy 104(-16)
21. Gen 104(-16)
23. Rose 103(-17)
24. Dan 100(-20)
25. Sakura 76(-44)
Note: American Names

Sanwa Parts Tumpang (closing date: 1st to 2nd April 2009)

As much as I would like to help, I actually have a career to focus on hence I prefer if this tumpang takes minimal effort to conduct. Key rules:

1) I may not reply to posts/PMs in a timely manner, or not at all - if I deem your message irrelevant. So please be sensible and perform your own research before asking questions which can be answered by simply googling or scanning through the Tech Talk section of the shoryuken.com forums, or any other resources.

2) My price is mandate, aka FIRM. Do not ask for best price or any discounts. Calling me 'bro' does not give you any privileges, nor will open me up for any additional favours.

3) Requests are subject to availability and subject to my descretion, convenience and preference. This may seem unfair to some, but this is a personal order of mine and there are shipping limitations.

4) I reserve the right to modify or delete this post anytime, as I see fit. We play by my rules, as I do NOT want things to get complicated and end up cancelling this order.

QUOTE
What are Sanwa parts used for?
Sanwa is the leading arcade parts manufacturer in Japan, hence most consider them to be the best in the world. Unless you prefer American-style Happ parts. Their competitor is Seimetsu and they produce equally good and stylish parts as well. It's all up to one's preference. My tumpang is ONLY for Sanwa parts, though I would like to have Seimetsu in future.

What can I order?
Only common Sanwa components which fit in your custom stick / HORI Real Arcade Pro (RAP) / Mad Catz SE like:
• buttons (OBSF-30 snap-ins, OBSN-30 screw-ins) - of 30mm (normal) and 24mm (start/select) variety.
• button plugs (OBSM-30 or OBSM-24)
• joysticks (JLF-TP8Y-SK so far, comes with square restrictor gate by default)
• ball/bat tops (LB-35~lollypop preferably, which works on standard JLF sticks. The LB-30-N~baseballbat will need a separate adapter)
• gate restrictors (GT-Y octagonal restrictor plate. The JLF on your HORI RAP3 sticks are fitted with the square gates by default)

Is the 8-way (octagonal) gate for me?
Most people have the impression that 8-way will be better in executing moves but in reality you may find it harder due to having less precise control at the diagonal corners e.g. jump straight up to avoid fireball -> jump forward instead -> eat shoryuken

How can I order?
1) Research for your preferred parts e.g. http://www.lizardlickamusements.com/ or http://www.akihabarashop.jp/

2) Conduct further research at http://forums.shoryuken.com/forumdisplay.php?f=177 if needed, carefully. Please try your best not to ask me as I really can't respond to too many PMs.

3) Give me the parts' MODEL and preferered COLOUR, followed by NEXT CHOICE OF COLOUR

4) I will then calculate according to the price.

How much will this cost me?

1) Depending on the forex rate, but payments will be through my Maybank2u account, in RM

2) Benchmarks so you get the rough idea (as per 31/03/2009)

1.00 USD = 3.64557 MYR
1.00 EUR = 4.85012 MYR
200.00 JPY = 7.40604 MYR

3) All price excludes shipping:

• Sanwa OBSF-30 / OBSN-30 Pushbutton = RM12
• Sanwa OBSF-24 / OBSN-24 Pushbutton = RM10
• Sanwa OBSM Series 24/30mm Hole Plug = RM7
• Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate = RM20
• Sanwa GT-8N 4/8-Way Restrictor Plate = RM20
• Sanwa Joystick Adapter = RM2
• Sanwa LB-35 Joystick Ball Top = RM24
• Sanwa JLF-TP8Y-SK Ball Handle Joystick, stock square gate = RM85

Shipping will be shared, and will be dependent on the size of this single order I am making. Once the items arrive, I will designate a common meeting place in either KL or PJ. I will also Poslaju to outstation buyers, at the price of the actual postage.
I will reply to PMs the best as I can. I will need to submit the order ASAP. Thanks.

Btw, good games with TTH vs GTH tonite. Hope my bittorrent downloads didn't affect you, nor my neighbour leeching my WIRELESS connection and playing GGPO at the same time did smile.gif

Lykiat, no problem - Mike informed me already. Me/we were looking at some joystick mod options and thinking Seimetsu would be nicer. So we're all looking to procure Seimetsu instead so need to know if you're ok with it IF we go for it. It's either Sanwa ONLY or Seimetsu ONLY.

Just letting you know - and congratulations on your new place, it must be very exciting setting up your new home.

Right now we're just looking to secure some resources to get the Seimetsu parts, this would include the transparent buttons as they look nicer and goes well with most custom artwork. And in general I prefer Seimetsu as it's more 'clicky' rather than the softer Sanwa.

Hey btw there's an infinite loop for Abel, just discovered.
