QUOTE(realcheraz @ Feb 11 2009, 04:23 PM) if u afraid, dont came here lor..opening up this thread also means u r dloading something dont b afraid..just use it to the max, maybe if celcom found out every 1 of their bb user exceed limits, they could add up capped size from 5gb to let say 8gb or maybe 10gb No visiting this site won't really download much if you frequently visit this forum since most of the data are already cached. To conserve bandwidth, you might want to increase your browser's cache limit too.

Well, Celcom can start off bit by bit by increasing it in a small amount first say 10-15GB before increasing any further.

They won't do it, I really hope they could upgrade their server capacity. Too many users but tower cannot support that many. Off topic a while, suddenly lights went off in this computer lab with only emergency lights turned on but aircon still working... Still people are not leaving. Probably because of this? Time to continue watching Youtube. This post has been edited by fruitie: Feb 11 2009, 05:17 PM

Which is why their solution is to have a 5GB Fair Usage Policy which they should know most people will reach it real fast, then they can start capping and make way for more users. Everything seems blazing fast in your uni.

When I'm using the Internet, I thought I was at overseas.

I think it is automatically. I notice this twice as I just past 5GB a little bit, the speed suddently drop from 60-100kBps to 10+kBps (torrenting) QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Feb 11 2009, 11:26 PM) In that case it leaves me puzzled whether the capping is done automatically from their system or if its done manually.

Getting Started

QUOTE(jabby1 @ Feb 11 2009, 12:37 PM) where is your area? but 1 bar 3G still good. Make sure u select 3G only not 3G preferred in your client. might help your surfing My Area is SS19/6R Subang Jaya. Yes I have do testing on it. If I select 3G only it will stay with only can get 1 Bar 3G Signal. If I select 3G Preferred then it will switch between from 1 Bar to GPRS from time to time. I am wondering why suddenly like this, because before CNY it work alright with able to detect 3 to 4 bar 3G signal and never been in GPRS. I have check the celcom coverage map which my area is under 3G coverage and do a testing by bringing my modem to my office at PJ, which able to detect full bar of 3G Signal, So should not be modem problem.

That's probably because the signal is too work that's why it will automatically revert back to GPRS. Maybe recently something was constructed that is now blocking the signal tower.
