HI all,
I am looking for super king size mattress. As far as i have enquired, i was told we need to custom make the super king size.

Anyone here using super king size. If yes what brand and price please.
TIA
*
I dont use one but was considering one 2 years back but was turned away from it due to cost. The size of a super king in theory is suppose to be 7x7 but that may not always be the case. You can always make yours bigger (hence customizing it)

I was turned away from it because the 1 extra feet did not really make that much of a difference (ironically same does not apply from queen to king)

the additonal cost of that 1 feet of mattress + bed frame + sheets just did not justify the costing for me in the long run. (super king sheets are very very limited in MY not only in quantity but also brand, and quality and pattern)

If you are really wanting to make it you can always ask the showroom and they can discuss it for you with the manufacturer of almost any brand they sell and advise you the cost which is min RM2k more then the king size (many factors need to be taken into consideration from material, size, quality, brand etc)

Happy hunting

You have some valid points there, the cost for the matress, frame and sheets gona cost a lot. and yeah 1 ft doesn't make much difference. and the sheets are gona be a tough hunt.
Guess have to thing deeply if its really needed, thumbup.gif

If body height is 185cm above, then you go for super king.

Otherwise, just stick to standard king.

When it comes to bedsheets, does thread count matters?

For me, the fabric quality matters more than tc.

Not true. From my understanding, TC and fabric quality are 2 different things.
TC is the number of threads (horizontal and vertical) per square inch.
Fabric quality depends on the fibre. The longer the fibre, the better the quality.
Hence, a bedsheet with a high tc doesn't mean it's of good quality if it has a low quality fabric.

I agree with you, but some others here claim that low TC count means lousy quality such as Dreamland mattress with 280 TC.

By quality fabric, do you mean the type (cotton, synthetic, polyester) or do you mean something else?

But could there be a correlation between the two? I mean, TC is not a be all and end all, but it should be one of the criteria in buying bedsheets?

https://www.bollandbranch.com/blogs/content...is-thread-count

From the link above, higher thread count doesn't really add up a high quality/perfect sheets. As mentioned, to achieve over 600 TC they actually multiply the yarn.
At the end of the day, you would want to feel the fabric is good or not, weight of fabric, the type of weave and the quality of the cotton.
Thread count is simply a unit of measure that has an exaggerated importance.
