errr ... what is the perfect meal for MS leh? i keep trying to make her eat her dog food ... if not mistaken is eurokanu ... but she just dont seems like want it ... sad.gif ... do i have to mix with other stuff? she keep on wanting treat ... i try not to give her but she keep looking at my hand ... hahaa ... faint lar ...

just now i have to play with her ... using the dog food 1 by 1 rolling on the floor then only she eat it 1 by 1 ... cannot be permanent lo like that ... scared she ate not enough ...

Joan ... should i mix with something else?
*
Huh? Last time she eat on her own wan. In fact she ate very well. Maybe she is still feeling a little cautious. You just leave the food there and see? If she don't eat within 10 minutes, take away. Then give her again the next morning.

Better not to hand feed her one by one. After very the susah loh

IAMS is not a good brand in my opinion...it's just only SLIGHTLY better than the dogfood that is sold in supermarkets like Purina / Pedigree. If you're buying kibbles, try to opt for higher quality kibbles, like Acana, Orijen, or Addiction (though Addiction is a dehydrated food, and you would need to wet it, making it more of a wet food than dry). Look at the labels on the packaging to see the ingredients on the food. The first ingredient listed should ALWAYS be meat (eg chicken, lamb, beef, etc) and not animal by products or grains. In fact, I think kibbles should not contain any grains, corn, or soy.

I THINK I've posted an article here quite some time ago on how to rate the kibbles in the market. Let me look it up...if it's not, I'll post it here again for you to have a look smile.gif

EDIT: I found it, but I can't seem to post the link for some reason (or maybe it's just me). Anyways, you can always do a search in this topic. Type in the keywords 'grade dog food' in the text field at the bottom left of the posts. It should come out with my post. I checked smile.gif

P/S: I almost forgot...most probably your breeder would have been feeding Ramses another brand of kibble. It's best to ask him/her about it and stick to it for a while before changing the food if you want to. Sudden change of food for a pup could cause loose stools.

Here's another link for top ranked kibbles found in the Whole Dog Journal: http://www.geocities.com/rottndobie/wholedogjournal2.html

Most of them are from America though...not sure if we can find those brands here in Malaysia. Anyways, just thought I'd share smile.gif There are also the other list for 2008 and a 2009 approved canned food list, plus a 2005 list of NOT approved dog food, which you can see here: http://www.geocities.com/rottndobie/wholedogjournal.html

I am actually quite sure Ramses is fed with Eukanuba... As what Mrs. Lim told me when I got Boy Boy... However, we did change the brands for few times, and now ended up with Canidae...

Well, I think FLUFF carries Orijen...you could also try the bigger petshops like the one in Taman Megah, or Pet Safari? Usually, these bigger stores would have more variety, and MIGHT just carry those brands. Not very sure though coz I'm not from around PJ. Maybe someone else from PJ would have a better clue smile.gif

red-queen,

We bought our Canidae from House of Groomers. They only carry in this brand. They fed all their Golden Retrievers with this. They have the best golden retrievers in town as I know...

If I remember correctly, I bought Acana Salmon & Potato for about RM40 - RM50 plus? Not a very big pack...I THINK it was about 2kg plus? Can last Scottie for 1 month per pack. I got them from DoGroom in Kuchai Lama...but that was quite some time ago, and it was way before I found raw feeding smile.gif So, the price might have gone up a bit I guess...have not been checking prices for kibbles at all these days.
