There is not exactly 2% on all transaction. It is based on tier rate. Below are taken from Alliance Bank FAQ for this card;

Q:How is the cash back calculated for the Alliance Rebates MasterCard?
A:The cash back is credited monthly into the card account and calculated based on the table below.

Alliance Rebates MasterCard

Monthly Spending Range (RM) Rebate Factor
0-500 0.50%
501-1350 0.70%
1351-2550 0.90%

I checked as much as possible on the website but could not see this as a feature of the card?

I was thinking of getting Bank Islam card just for this feature but it seems their normal classic cards are subject to compounding interest, only their platinum cards and some co-branded classics have this feature.
*
I think all Islamic CC has no compounding interest as this is one of the criteria for Islamic CC.

To the HSBC Premier Credit Card holder, what is the minimum credit limit? Can use this card to apply another exclusive credit card such as CIMB World mastercard or SCB Visa Infinite?

If you can qualify for a premier card, sure can use for World Mastercard or Infinite card but you will need to transfer the FDs to the respective bank, plus need to have held your premier card for at least a year. Cheers  tongue.gif
*
Thanks bro but do you know what is the min credit limit for HSBC premier?

QUOTE(Phoeni_142 @ Jan 12 2009, 06:57 PM)
That's not entirely true.  e.g. if u want to get SCB Infinite -

1.  Just show them another card with a min credit limit of 60K (they will back derive your income for credit processing purposes)

2.  Earn 50K a month and give them a payslip.
*
50k per month? Are you sure? I check their website, it only mention 150k per year only means that 12.5k per month.

My mistake.  Massive typo. 150K p.a. only.....don't know how I wrote 50K per month!

But very sure on credit limit for prompt cases - 60K credit limit on your other card to qualify

Thank you smile.gif You work with Standard Chartered?

if i'm not wrong Hsbc premier entry level CL would be 40k. That's 10k higher than their conventional plat card which start from 30k.
Cimb WORLD Mastercard need at least 100k CL as prompt case. That's the min limit they request. Am not sure for scb visa infinite but from their website the income requirement are same as hsbc plat card 150k p.a .
*
Thanks bro for the information. But CIMB World mastercard need 100k min credit. It almost impossible for me to achieve. Need to work harder to qualify. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(hye @ Jan 12 2009, 09:14 PM)
This particular requirement is correct. I spoke to someone in SCB before. (No ... I don't work in SCB, just in case anyone is asking)
*
haha good one.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 12 2009, 11:07 PM)
RM40,000. Might request for a HUGE increase in credit line if you have at least RM500,000 of FD inside HSBC Malaysia. Then you probably can use it to apply for CIMB Wolrd Mastercard and SCB Infiinite without producing your salary statement. And why do i mention FD and not your big loan with HSBC or your investments in their Unit Trust/Structured Products ? Because FD is basically a risk-free investment.
*
How much increase in credit limit for 500k FD?

So basically entry level of HSBC premier CC still not qualify to get SCB visa infinity or CIMB World mastercard. Anyone know about RHB visa infinity?

Someone said it's impossible to get it waived a few months back but i saw this leaflet in one their counters about 3-year annual fee free for the SCB Infinite Visa in late December last year. I didn't read it clearly but i remember reading that you have to place a sum of FD in the bank to qualify. Just go to one of their branches and check it out or simply just ask their CS.
*
Just make a call to their customer services. Their CS says that the annual fee only will be waive for the first year. On getting the with FD, I need to place an FD RM150k to get the card but the credit limit may be not 1 to 1 with FD. However he not so sure about this & will get the sales person to call me back tomorrow. The FD have to be maintain as long as I holding the card.

Ok, then i suppose all SCB Priority Banking customers can ask their RM to get them the VISA Infinite instead of Platinum Mastercard. Keep us updated about the credit line if your FD inside the bank is RM150k.
*
LOL, I just received call from SCB, the department that in charge for CC. He told me that FD no longer can be use to get VISA Infinite card.

Anyone here who has successfully cancelled their UOB without being charged the RM25 cancellation fee? (and still keep the card of course) I vaguely remembered to call up CS and said the letter never arrived and proceed with cancellation. Just got this card but I don't think I want this card anymore.

A refresher would be great. (and thanks in advanced)
*
I did it before. biggrin.gif

I apply for their preferred platinum before but after get the card I feel that I do not need it because other card that I have a better offer but their card is nice to keep. Since they send the card by normal mail & not activated since received, three weeks later I told their CS I still not received the card & they assume the card is lost during mailing. I told them to cancel the card as I wait too long for the card & already apply for another card. haha

different card provide different benefit, i'm quite a hard core plastic user but most of the time i'll only use up 10% of my total limit , that rather low if benchmarked to my CL . Point collection at different merchant , fine dining discount, etc, impossible to get one card to have all those goodies packed in. So it depend on individual lifestyle.
On waiving the AF , i've uob, eon, stanchart, citi and amex charge waived without any single transaction for the whole year. A phone call away to their CS, done! Only citi request me to charge auto billing to their card for the AF request but i denied , they still waive for me tongue.gif
*
Yes agree with you. For me I normally used that card that got the most benefit & my expenditure <5% of my total credit limit.

QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Jan 18 2009, 05:41 PM)
yes 1:1 limit, the interest of the fd will be banked into ur bank acc... they will keep the fd slip

hi guys, i'm thinking of applying for cc,whats the easiest cc to apply?i'm a gov servant, working about 5 months, fixed salary rm1800, n what are documents needed?if i still have blacklist from celcom cannot apply or can?
*
The easiest way is to apply through internet, ie bank website but if you apply from bank's booth at shopping complex you may received some gift smile.gif What you need is copy of 3 month pay slip. Black list from celcom I don't think effect your application.
