funny thing with the goliathus.
the alpha, ie. biggest goliathus, isnt selling well...cos apparently ppl like the mantis more cos of the bigass razer logo design on it.

guess thats why mantis hasnt been discontinued.

I use a Destructor, and I love it.

Very highly recommended, especially if you use laser mice, where it is almost essential.

For a DA I guess a Goliathus should do just fine.

But if you have the extra cash, do get the Destructor. Great tracking, plus the awesome looks, it's definitely worth the money.

Yeah it does eat up your mouse feet a lil bit, but by doing that, it keeps them perfectly flat and smooth, which is good, obviously.

Then buy replacement Hyperglides =).

On a more serious note though, yes it does shorten the life of the mouse feet, but not by that much. Online comments on the faster wear are highly exaggerated.

It certainly does a lot less damage to your mouse compared to if you use it without any mousepads.

And the surface is not really that rough, I think the Goliathus Control Ed (I bought one then replaced it with the Destructor) is even rougher.

mantis is nice but after long use the printing on the mat will fade away...

and for destructor, yes it is a mouse feet killer...make sure u buy extra glides if u dont want to spoil ur mouse haha

Razer Destructor quite good wat, even better than my previous Exactmat.

smooth and accurate. if u're afraid the skate will worn out fast, just buy more spare skates.

i have like 3 spare skates in my desk. laugh.gif
