just bought mbp 13 for my wife.. we were quite excited since this is the first mac we bought... and the first time ever, bought from malaysia apple store... place an order for a std spec-ed mbp 13' on tuesday, but till today, the status shown the item is still at SIN... but the expected date to be delivered would be 10/5.. so seems like still have 5 days to go... I was thinking of buying online due to the education rate.. my wife is doing her diploma in education... i didnt aware that those retailers also have the education rate... oh man... its easier to go to the machines or switch... waiting for 1 week for the mbp to be delivered is killing me.. it killing me every second... wuaarrgggghhhhh

chill bro. the good news is reseller dont sell educational price
only those apple campus store have it

i saw some of the screen shots from www.ifixit.com.. it can be done.. quite easy i would say.. as for proc, i dont think you can upgrade by urself...

do they ask you for verification during your purchase?? i mean for the educational discount.

as far as i can remember, i only have to tick on the agreement that i am entitled for the discount.. no verification at all... its like everybody can use the discount.. in fact, parent can buy the discounted item for their son or daughter..

i ordered last friday, and the delivery date given is 20th may. it's around 3 weeks, instead of 1-2 weeks that they mention on the sites.

May i know where is the option to change order? Once I have logged into my Apple ID into the Apple Order Status page, I did not see any option to change my order. It only gives me the option to cancel order. Initially, I ordered 2 iPads, but now I'd like to change it to only 1 iPad.

Is there any way around this?
