Who is Eligible To Purchase
The following K-12 individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:
Employee of public or private K-12 institutions in Malaysia

School Board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members
PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers
Employee of a public or private, profit or non-profit preschool
Staff of Ministry of Education

The following Hi-Ed individuals are eligible to purchase through the Apple Store for Education:


Faculty or staff member of a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
Student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
Parent purchasing on behalf of his or her child who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia
Staff of Ministry of Education
Purchase Quantity
The individuals in the defined groups above will be allowed to purchase the following quantities of product per academic school year from the Apple Store for Education Individuals:

   1.  Desktop: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   2.  Mac mini: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   3.  Notebook: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
   4.  Display: A maximum of two (2) may be purchased per academic year
   5.  Software: A maximum of two (2) per software title may be purchased per academic year
   6.  iPod: There is no limit on the quantity of iPod purchases per academic year

I have just received it too, but my problem is somehow minor but quite bothering too, it came with a US 2 pin plug instead of malaysian 3 pin plug. Called them and awaiting reply. Did anyone here encountered this problem before, what kind of action will they take normally?

ok, this is embarrassing. Didn't realize that there is a white rectangle box with all the cables I needed. Guess I was too obsessed with the mac book itself =P  Thanks monked!

just bought mbp 13 for my wife.. we were quite excited since this is the first mac we bought... and the first time ever, bought from malaysia apple store... place an order for a std spec-ed mbp 13' on tuesday, but till today, the status shown the item is still at SIN... but the expected date to be delivered would be 10/5.. so seems like still have 5 days to go... I was thinking of buying online due to the education rate.. my wife is doing her diploma in education... i didnt aware that those retailers also have the education rate... oh man... its easier to go to the machines or switch... waiting for 1 week for the mbp to be delivered is killing me.. it killing me every second... wuaarrgggghhhhh
