I dont see any changes in the apple store... Maybe is just the scheduled maintenance or preparation for some sort of changes in the near future.

hey guys, wanna ask about the transactions by apple online through cc payment. Do they charge the exactly amount stated on the invoice? I checked my bank statement acc and amount is not same. Is this extra is for conversion rate? Since the store is in SG?

I assume you took the exact amount from your invoice and convert using whatever online method you can find...? Of course it's not the same... the conversion rate follows the rate quoted from your card issuer which is higher, not from XE.com or any other online conversions.... else what business will they have with credit cards...? profits... what Eithanius is saying is the conversion is done by your bank. so if you feel the rate is incorrect / inaccurate, call your bank for confirmation...

Bought from online store twice and I'm charged exactly as what appeared on my invoices .. no hanky panky with conversion rate.

Thank guys for the feedback. Since the invoice is from SG & the amount is stated in RM. Just wonder why the amount in cc statement is not same with invoice. I just want to double confirm this before calling to bank. Because this is my first time buying from apple store online so I didn't know how they process it.

It's Malaysia's Apple Store. Invoice is from SG because the Asia's HQ is there. What did you buy? Is it from shipping? Shipping is not free if you don't buy over RM150 worth of items or something.

QUOTE(TY7 @ May 10 2010, 08:38 PM) Brought my MBP through Malaysia online store. Then there's definitely a discrepancy here... If it's a MacBook Pro, then your purchase is well within the "free shipping" eligibility... Check with your bank if they have any surcharges or anything out of the ordinary...

When you checkout at the apple store, that is the final price and that will appear on your invoice. No other charges since shipping is free. Just check with your bank.. Or maybe did you ask for any installment plans that they charge a % of handling fee? or maybe its just the banks mistake of printing the wrong amount on your cc statement

Have clarified with bank and they inform me it's currency exchange because it's from singapore. Since the invoice is stated in RM, why do the bank still need to make the conversion? If it is big .. then better call Apple Store and clarify .. as per my previous post, on both occasions, bought stuff from AppleStore/MY and the exact amount were charged to my CC oh .. btw, was using Maybank if that matter.

You bought from Apple Store Singapore or Malaysia? If SIngapore then yes the currency exchange rate does apply. But if you bought it from Malaysia Apple store there is no extra charge and what appears before you check out is what is going to be charged to your CC.
