Apple Online Store is good for ppl that need to get 4Gb ram for macbook. 2 x 2Gb DDR3 ram..

If buy from retailer, they quoted me like RM1600 for 2 pcs of 2Gb DDR3 ram and only offer a rebate of RM100 for the 2 pcs of brand new 1Gb DDR3 ram.
*
800 bucks for a piece of 2GB...? What kinda DDR3 RAM are they offering...? Kingston KTA...?

QUOTE(jakesean @ Nov 16 2008, 06:21 PM)
ooo rm1600 for 2 sticks of 3GB DDR3 rams? +- RM800 per stick??

Hmm.. Since Macbooks are now aluminium, why don't Apple offer engraving for it? Could even deter theft!
*
true... but 2 - 3 years down the line, would a prospective 2nd-hand buyer wanna buy your unit with your name (or whatever crap you wanna engrave) on it...? tongue.gif

just found out i forgot to add the airport to my mac pro.. haih.
*
nah.... just get a 3rd-party wireless dongle...

for me, i'd just get an el-cheapo linksys router, use DD-WRT firmware to set it to wireless client, plug it into the MP lan ports, and you got yourself a customised Airport.... cost about the same... maybe less, depending on which model you're getting... tongue.gif

Errrr...not quite...if he has a mixture of g/n network, then the new Dual-Band Airport is really useful...
*
only if you take advantage of dual-band from the source aka the wireless router that's being used.... otherwise it's useless....

QUOTE(golvin @ Jun 10 2009, 05:18 PM)
I called Apple store previously and the receptionist told me bank transfer takes about 5 to 7 days. Order processing and delivery takes 3 - 5 days. In total about 2 weeks. Using credit card is faster, usually transaction processing can be done on the day itself.

BTW I am so unhappy with the Maybank debit card I have. Can't do any online transaction. And my main purpose of applying the card is to shop online. Now I can't use it for that at all. Useless card. =( And debit card has to be carefully handled because once you lose it, people can use your money directly. Feels like carrying a bomb with me lol.

Enough rants. lol. Sorry I got drifted away.
*
Then let me drift you back.... doh.gif

Like nimrod(whatever number he is) has said, public bank debit card can be used for online transaction, whether it's on itunes or paypal. I've even tried it on HK-based online portals. Everybody knows Maybank debit card is known not to work thru online transaction so it's crap.

All debit cards can be a bomb if you tie them to your current or savings accounts. It's logic isn't it...? So instead of doing that, you may be safer if you could just manually cash in at the point you wanna make a purchase. It also saves you from over-spending in case you're a shopaholic type. Troublesome, yes, but safer. Wanna get rid of the "manual cash-in" hassle, just get a credit card.

It's kinda weird you guys have an estimated shipping and delivering times...

Apple Stores in the States does not seem to have such info, nor does DHL tracking on the latter. Unless it requires an active Apple Store account... unsure.gif

dont check US store, the unit are come from different warehouse
the availability is different

Not necessarily true... most of them comes from China, while the bulk of the standard units that comes from Singapore are still, assembled in China.

Right now, the high-end 13" and low end 15" are indeed worldwide shortage, due to the limited supply of 250GB HDDs....

I know that this thread is about Apple Online Store malaysia but i really wanna know and ask that is that possible for malaysian to buy apple product from USA store?
coz
M-Audio KeyStudio 49" didnt sell at malaysia apple store. and seller at malaysia sell this product from ori price $99.95 to RM12++ sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif
*
That's because you're comparing KeyStudio 49 and Keystudio 49i... doh.gif

KeyStudio 49 is just a midi controller that sells originally for $129.95, which is most likely discontinued, while the 49i is a midi controller with an integrated audio interface, going for $299.95, over here selling at RM 1106. Midi controllers with integrated audio interfaces rarely go below RM1K in the market, unless it's a used unit.

Hi peeps,

I've a question; assuming we make our purchase from the Apple Online Store on 1st September; and it's shipped out on 3rd September and we receive it 5th September.

When does our warranty period start?  1st/3rd/5th September?!

*
From my experience, it's the 3rd...

But then again you can always check the serial number on the Apple Support Site.... unless it's something other than Apple... The packing slip or order invoice should indicate the date of purchase...

tsk tsk tsk....! ini auntie bel.... whistling.gif

perhaps I'm seeing a pattern here... standard configuration readily shipped from Singapore, customisable configuration will have to be shipped from China...
