QUOTE(fizzy15 @ Jan 8 2009, 04:01 PM) toslink - Digital audio bitstream. you forgot to mention how many channels supported by toslink, I doubt it will support 7.1 48kHZ 20bits audio.. at best effort is dual channel.Originally limited to 48 kHz at 20 bits. Extended to support all modern formats, except Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD and DTS HD audio streams. hdmi - LPCM, Dolby Digital, DTS, DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, MPCM imagine if WD TV could deliver audio through HDMI --- any hacker outhere anyone ? |

so far no standalone players support RMVB (HD 1080i) and MKV H264 1080p..
looks like only computer can do it.. |

QUOTE(rthj @ Jan 13 2009, 03:11 PM) that's what I thought until I tried the standalone RMVB players using hardware RM decoders.. way better than the codecs used in PC software..anyway, some of the movies/series in RM so no other option to choose AVI or MKV.. beggars can't be choosers.. Added on January 13, 2009, 3:19 pm QUOTE(rx330 @ Jan 13 2009, 03:18 PM) I'm saying RMVB HD+H264 1080p together in the unit.. you tell me which la..This post has been edited by ar188: Jan 13 2009, 03:19 PM |

QUOTE(hhtoh88 @ Jan 13 2009, 10:17 PM) I have an old Sharp Aquos 20" HDTV 1024x768 with no HDMI input but only component in. Can I use an HDMI-component adapter like the one selling on ebay to hook up the WDTV to my LCD? Any advice will be appreciated. you need a video transcoder (not cheap) to convert digital (DVI/HDMI) to component.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8765%26_fvi%3D1 this kind of break out cable HDMI to Component+audio.. doubt it will work (usually it works if your Video card's HDMI supports this kind custom connection) but since its so cheap worth a try kua? |
