Cody looks cute in the pail scoop XD i cant keep both my girl still when mandi =.= cannot use the sink.. must use baby bath as enclosure hitz...ur DIY cage looks very nice...mind to share how you did that? Share with you guys Cody's pictures...His fur growing thick now....take longer time to blow dry him... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Chinchillas @ Apr 12 2009, 10:48 PM) grooming day. One bath wont shed much.. in fact mine dont seem to shed at all...QUOTE(hitz @ Apr 12 2009, 10:58 PM) Yup blackie is adopted from sg. buloh.. hehehehe... hitz.. you forgot hayrack >< the hayrack can diy with shoebox or tissue box ^^ you can teach him to use the bottle.. take away the water bowl and when he really thirsty will for sure drink from the bottle ^^ maybe he is not use to it yet But quite big wor his size for a 6 months old GP.. But anyway he is so cute... Only thing is he pee poo so much in 1 day ... hahahaha... Very seldom use his toilet area somemore, so gotto pick his poo daily..... To diy the cage took me 1/2 day, it cost me bout RM40 plus the tools require.. It's not a very tidy job but it will do just fine at the moment.. Will try to find another heavier house for him to sleep in as he like to re-arrange everything inside the case... Somemore he don't like to drink from his bottle wan wor.. so i gotto change the water daily in his bowl.. |

QUOTE(mr.hikano @ Apr 13 2009, 01:57 AM) hye, You will need to research first on GPs before owning one.. Prices for shelties or peruvians are like what carol said. You will need a nice home for it too and prepare about RM150+ for pet store cages. Foods are about RM20 hay about RM25. Water bottles are about 10-15. Bedding depending on what you will use. Take note of fresh veggies too.. my veggies per week is about RM10... also you must consider fees and trips to the vet if your GP falls sick or anything. If you think they are easy to take care.. you will have to rethink again.. and they are not cheap either coz they eat a lot.i love to hav GP as my pet...how much it is cost for a starter? i wanna GP dat hav long hair...(sorry dunno their specific name)... how much it is cost for that kind of GP? anyone sell it online? QUOTE(carolhyf @ Apr 13 2009, 02:35 AM) I dont mean to hurt you but just hope that you have prepare and no more sad case happen as sometimes we see them suffer but we dunno what to do is really sad. Carol you are not hurting him lol... you are merely giving some advice.. and whatever you said.. is so very true QUOTE(Xiawa @ Apr 13 2009, 08:58 AM) wow the baby is so cute XD~~ Grats huahua!~ glad that the mites problem is gone ^^gratz carol XD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ good news, Huahua is fully recover from her mites!! will slowly introduce her to xiaomian start from now actually I think they are finding each other recently, because both of them will suddenly wheek very very very loud, sounds like they are looking for each other XD QUOTE(hitz @ Apr 13 2009, 09:52 AM) I also mix the pellets with hay so that he can choose what he wanna eat 1st.. Hehehehe.. GPs actually do not require any pill or calcium or anything like that.. they absorb all the vitamins and etc from their daily vege intake. Also from hay and pellets. All these nutrients are absorbed into their body and the best time to absorb it is feeding veges in the evening or nite. So giving supplement is subjective.. Mine are very2 healthy without supplements I also don't like to see his cage so messy... all the pooh everywhere... so pick them up daily and put them inside the toilet... hopefully he'll learn to use it... My blackie no chew news paper wan luckly... but still i'll change it weekly basis so that he be clean clean.... May i know what kind of vitamin and calcium pill that you all feed to GP? At the moment i just feed my blackie with carrot, brocolli, grape and apple, not sure enuf vit for him or not... |

QUOTE(hitz @ Apr 13 2009, 10:17 AM) Yup true also what u saying bout the supplement, just that it confuse me since i read some forummer Looks like you making progress with him hitz provide their GP with vit and calcium... Normally i feed them with vege and fruit at nite after work... then play wit him for a while so that he be friendlier to me soon... This morning he got greet me liao.... hehehehe... Seem like he not that afraid of me... This post has been edited by SugarCoatedCandy: Apr 13 2009, 10:25 AM |

QUOTE(Feonfeon @ Apr 14 2009, 12:09 AM) 4 years old? erghhh so i got bout 1 year+ to go.. no i cant depart wif my lisa... Lol guys stop worrying about how long your GPs will be able to live. If someone asks you to jump down the cliff would you? So lets not assume.. its better to try making them comfy to maximize their lifespan instead of worrying when they will die. Remember if they are fed a healthy diet, enough companionship and bonding with their owners... proper vet visits if they are sick.. then you have nothing to worry about... so you guys gotta stop thinking negatively maybe should let her stay in my aircond room? erghhhhh |

If its hard then its ok
EDIT - Oh ya you asked for bedding for the litter box rite.. the one you using is fine.. i use just newspaper for my 2 girls coz they have the little pan. If you want long lasting one, you can try buying Breeder Celect for the poo box.. Remember to avoid Cedar & corncob bedding. This post has been edited by SugarCoatedCandy: Apr 14 2009, 03:23 PM |

QUOTE(hitz @ Apr 15 2009, 12:03 AM) Carol.. your baby GP is so cute.. Make me feel like wanna adopt a baby GP also... Hehehehe... Hmmm.. Is it ok for GP to live alone? Dunno my blackie ok or not without friend... GP are social animals.. they do need a friend.. if you bond a lot with blackie, you dont have to get a friend for him too soon. But if you think you wont be able to give him lots of attention then you should go ahead and get a friend for him. But proper introductions need to be done.. you cant simply campak them together and expect them to get along |
