Still birth for GPs are pretty common when the following situation occur:-

(1) mom was under-fed, not enough nutritious diet.
(2) mom over-fed and obese.
(3) mom have difficulty in delivering the baby that causing the baby died due to lack of oxygen in long delivery process.
(4) baby having bleach position that causing trouble in delivery.

do anyone have pics of the cubes as example? i dunno how it looks like ....

If you look closer the wired netting I put in my garden, that one I bought from Daiso Singapore, depending how you assemble them. If I put 6pcs together, it will become a big cube. The size I bought was 12 x 5 per piece. I think, a piece cost S$3.

LOL

my piggy gone crazy... they run around the habitat like having a marathon !!!!!!!!! make all the wood flying fliping the hay bin trying to demolish the tunnel !!!!!!!!!!!
*
That's very normal. You should be happy as they are happy with their environment.

When I put my piggies in the garden, they all run very fast up and down the whole garden, like a rabbit though. I'm surprised that they could really run very fast. Trying to catch them is so difficult with a wide open space.

If the vet already given your GP a jab, then better wait for one week and see any improvement or not. If still the same after one week, then I could help you on this lice problem. I lived in Cheras, Damai Perdana.

i suppose they can survive bah...

No problem to bring GP up to north as long as you put the cage in passenger seat area where air-cond could reach them. But you cannot leave them unattended during R&R biological stop. I brought my GP down from Penang last time.

*
Well...your GP is not used to have fresh veg, that will take time for you to slowly figure out what type of fresh veg is its favourite. But if you have another GP, then it may have better appetite, as it will observe its buddy, if its buddy eat, then it will follow.

rm18.90? the small or big one? i buy the big pack for rm22...its the hagen pallet for GP rite, not rabbits?
*
Already increased price 5 months ago. No longer RM12 for big pack. Now the price is between RM16 - RM22. Luckily I still can get RM16, other places sell RM20-24.

Juztiny : that treats really not good for my GP??

how are they? i missed them so much~
*
They keep hiding inside the nest box. Very shy wor...do you mind if I remove their shield away so that help you to train them to socialize?

I noticed that your pallets are rabbit pellets, not so nutritious. Some of the ingredients of the treat are not really suitable for GP. Now they are young, they may be ok, but if you want them to grow longer life, you have to minimize the junk treat as they grow bigger.

any comment?

and where i can get timothy hay nearby cheras?
*
Try not to feed those high in glucose type of fruit too often. Occasionally is alright (like once a week or 2 weeks once). Just don't too often.

Somewhere near Leisure Mall, the petshop "Pets-to-all" do sell timothy hay.

That pellet is for GP wo? Kayte Forti Diet. and the cover is GP not rabbit.
nvm, tell me which brand better?
Kindly advise for:-
1)Hay
2)Pellets
3)Fruits

i give them more vege/hay than pellet. pellet during night or when i away only.
vege almost 50%.

yaya... great thx! u may remove the shield, if it is not trouble some, just put back at night lo.
coz i scare they cold~

hm... they really shy... only food will attract them.
that Brown White is Milky, Pure White is Carrie. and the other 1 is Muffin.
*
I gave them some carrot & veg today. They don't seem to touch the pellets at all. Haha...too pampered already. They really drink very little water, no wonder their cage always dry and easy to manage. My GP drink 500ml a day each, pee also a lot. Very easily stink.

Actually I personally prefer Hagen pellet than Kayte Forti brand. Hagen pellet I could smell the green freshness, and also value for money. Kayte Forti is more pricey and I don't find it anything special, over-advertising.

haiz... they only took pellet when there is limitation of food...
i also don't know why they drink so little water.

dry??? nono Muffin cage very stink, she/he always pee around. hahaha

how? any conclusion for their sex?
or perhaps u can help me to inter with your male GP(if all of them are female), hhahahaha whistling.gif
*
Haha...you want my male GP to rape your girls??? But your girls are 8 months old already, kind of high risk pregnancy though...female GP should not be pregnant after 9 months old, very high risk, as its pelvic bone may be too stiff to expand for labour.

but i got no choice... no male...

then... if not get her pregnant, forever cant d?
*
Hmm....can try my male for a week...but no guarantee lor...as GPs are not that productive as hamster. Which one you want her to pregnant? Muffin? or Carrie?

And what colour male you want to pick? Abby or Sheltie? I only have 3 male Abby to provide stud (Latte, white & black, tri-colour Dark brown-cream-white). So far only the tri-colour male Abby has been a proven dad. The other 2 male were only 5 months old, 1st hand virgin boy. rolleyes.gif As for the Sheltie, I have one tri-colour and one brown & white.

Actually I see your Muffin is not a pure Abby, she looks more like a mixed Sheltie-Abby.

so is that means female GP after 9 months old is not encourage to get pregnant? then female GP may just get pregnant for one time in her life?
*
Ya...after 9 months old is not encourage to get her pregnant anymore.....she may die during labour.

Want her to pregnant must plan before she reach 9 months old. Once given birth before, then safe to go on and on.

female GP take 2 months+ of gestation period? so that means normally female GP can get to pregnant around 2 times before 9 months correct?
*
Possible.....but not healthy. Usually the female will pregnant after 5 months old, then pregnant takes 2 months, by the time it deliver, it probably 7+ months old. It is better let her rest for at least 2 months. If you say 9 months old 2 times birth, then pretty cruel to do so.

the purpose of breeding, because i want to have experience on it... hehehe... never saw them deliver a baby b4.

oh my god, i bought 3 female GP? haiz~

then? what now? u will help me to get them pregnant?
all of them?
*
I already put 2 of them with my male GPs. That's all I could do, let the nature takes its cause. If both female GP do pregnant, I reserved the 1st priority to choose the baby, ok?

*
Sorry for your loss. Most likely is due to that jab...I experienced the same before, that is why now I never bring my GPs to vet for treatment.

4 years ago my 1st & 2nd GP died after seeking vet's treatment too. The vet gave a jab, and after 4-6 hours they died. Actually last time my GPs weren't sick, I thought they were, because they peed a lot and their butt always wet, so I thought they were having diarrhea. The vet also inexperience to tell the difference.

so wat u do nowadays when they are really having diarrhea or show symptoms of illness if u dont want to bring them to vet? any vet who are experienced in treating GP??
*
Read up more on how to care for your GP. Prevention is better than cure...Take good care of their well being and hygeine. Feed them appropriate nutritious food, monitor their weight regularly, check their teeth, trim nail, bath etc.

I never been to vet for my GP treatment ever since last time's experience. I bought an ebook from the internet on GP care. So far so good, some of my GPs are already 3 yrs old, looks like they could go on for another couple of years.
