The mean of a set of data 28, p+12, 34, 36 and 2p is q. If each value of data is multiplied by 1/2 and then 3 is added to the product, the new mean is 20. Find the value of p and q.

Radiation is simple to understand. Only a few formulas there and some basic facts. Keep practicing and you'll eventually get it.
And don't get nuclear fusion & fission mixed up. =D

For the probability distribution, are you referring to:
e.g. P(Z>0.5), P(Z<0.5), P(Z<-0.5)?

I think you mean Radioactivity, not radiation smile.gif. Radiation is heat transfer.

Thermal radiation is heat transfer to be specific. Radiation is the general term

[28 + p+12 + 34 + 36 + 2p] / 5 = q
q/2 + 3 = 20

q will be 34 cuz you have to work in reverse to find the old mean

(20-3)(2)

Then you can find p with the mean formula.

Fusion and fission is simple to remember
The word fuse obviously means to combine. So you are combining smaller particles like hydrogen atoms to produce helium and the other stuff.

Fission means breaking down into smaller parts.
Like binary fission in Bio tongue.gif

work_tgr..how is the virtual image? still cant get la..get abit
*
virtual image is normally formed on the other side of the screen.
this image is virtual, and virtual means can see, but cannot touch.
in other words, its only there behind the mirror/lens, you only can see it.
if you put a screen to capture the image, cannot be done.
cause its CAN SEE, CANNOT TOUCH.

a real image, is really real la.
CAN SEE & CAN TOUCH.
means you put a screen, like the cinema,
and the picture can be captured =)

Not camera. Like if you put a piece of paper, the image can be formed on it. You can't do that with say a plan mirror. The only way you can see the image formed by the mirror is by looking at the mirror itself.

Maybe this will help
