Anyway get back to the football in Astro real discussion.. They should add new channel in sport la, i can understand Spanish football league fan about the lack of live broadcast of Spanish League football game.

Sometimes i dun get it... Golf Channel is showing golf... den EuroSport also showing golf... and then all of a sudden Either SuperSports or ESPN or StarSports showing golf also... sweat.gif Do we need that many golf channels or golf games shown on tv? Does all Malaysian are crazy over golf? shakehead.gif

Step1*Smaaccckk* *FORE!* walk for 15 minutes...
Step2*Smaaccckk* *FORE!* walk yet another 15 minutes.
Step3 Repeat step 1 and 2 till you pop the small hole with your ballzzz...
Step4 Proceed to next hole and repeat step 1 to 3

We wake up 2 to 3 in the morning expecting to watch our favorite team play and there's no weather affecting the Astro signal but then, Astro STILL manages to find a way to piss us off! Somehow along the line, my TV reads "This channel is not included in your subscription. To subscribe........"

What the hell have I been paying for then? I can understand that transmission would be interrupted in the event of bad weather but what's the excuse this time?! Bear in mind, this is not the first time this is occurring, when United played West Ham (and Spurs played Arsenal), we had the same crap and missed 20+ minutes of the matches shown. It's annoying as heck.

Is there a channel where we can voice our complains? Writing to papers, would they publish our rants? Consumer tribunal or something cause I didn't stay up at 4.51 AM to face this garbage.

i thought iam the only one having that...n miss the first goal..WTF!

Lol.
The same can t be said of golf lovers of football fanatics.
Kick one ball to one end and miss and kick it back.
90 mins of people playing without a goal.
At least in golf, you know they put the ball in the ground after 15 mins.
dont diss what you don't understand.

Rather than complainin in a forum, why dont you take the initiative to gather petition for Astro to dedicate another channel or show more european football.

at least it may make a difference

I notice that it tends to happen at the wee hours in the morning. May be Astro update their service, guide or whatever at that time. unsure.gif

My take is that golf is much more enjoyable when you're playing, not that I play. It may seem surprising to some but I actually know a few people my age that like to play the game. I don't think it's a spectator sport however. To me it's a little more entertaining that watching a game of chess zzzzz...

Seriously though, I never knew ASTRO had so many problems. Like verx I only ever face interruptions when it rains and even then for no more than 15 mins.

If we cant get transmission when the weather is bad, fine its understandable that Astro are actually using Low Frequency to transmit signal from their Satellite..

But i had never face a problem like you before, seriously..
Well, if there was no customer service available, then just call them when the time is right... Then try to get the solution from there...

If it isn't too much, mind telling your location (to verx and Duke Red)? But were you guys awake watching United v West Ham/Arsenal v Tottenham or during yesterday's match day? AFAIK, it was last week and this week.

Me? Cheras, signal strength 67 +/-

I for one know for sure that Astro has the capabilities to broadcast in HDTV at this very moment.
Why aren't they doing it? You gotta go ask the big old G.
Although, to be honest, even if they DID have a seperate HDTV channel as per skysports, how many would actually subscribe to it? Only us urban folk i suppose.

Then perhaps it's a geographical issue. I live in PJ near Eastin Hotel. Didn't watch the games you mentioned but I was awake the night before watching the game against Atletico. Over the years of watching football I don't recall every experiencing the problems you've mentioned.

I live at Bkt Jalil. Was only awake for yesterday's match (cause Madrid were playing as well) but i didn't encounter any problem except when it started to rain abit but even then it was just a temporary disruption.

Living in Mont Kiara, signal strength range from between 63-68. Had problems last night and during the United-West Ham game as well. Figured it was my own decoder's problem so I kept updating it to no avail. Don't think it was due to the rain, it was only a slight drizzle. Besides, other channels were working fine
