there is an heatsink flaw issue regarding the Old Batch of Gainward 512mb Golden Sample, am i right? someone can find me the info? i've googled, but failed to find any info.

im facing the exact same problem,in L4D,Wanted and Darksector.
N i somehow found a theory for the crashes,i think these games crashed not because of 4850,4870,4890 underpowered,
but crashed due to unable to support physx for these games.

i myself r a 4850GS user,n i felt kind of unfair for us ATI user,becoz most of the games coming soon,and now r supporting nvidia physx engine.
Like when u open crysis u can c the logo(Play on Nvidia)but did u ever seen a game with logo(play on Ati)?
Ati r lack of game deveplovers support.Ya sound totally unfair for me.

Ati r more superior on power n price after 4800series came out,nvidia r juz some branded shit for me,expensive and yet not as powered as the price...
hope ati can find some support for us in physx soon

N my clock for my 4850GS r 750,1190 24/7
juz ignore the Core speed not really help much(and yet made a lot of heat),but OC the memory speed kaw kaw(really help much)

by the way, i try changing my GPU clock but when i reopen catalyst window it current value reset back to 500MHz. it's normal?

It will run 500Mhz during normal operation but when play games it will auto push to 700Mhz.
So it's normal.
