You cannot bbq on the beach just beside a resort as it is reserved for hotel guest.

Try to find a beach that is not near resort as that is public.

Hi ppl.

Me and my friends are planning for a trip to PD at the end of this month. So far there's at least 8 of us.. Will a large villa do? Lexis has some nice spacious looking villas..Or any other suggestion?

If you have lots of money, then take grand lexis or lexis, heard it is 5 star hotel.

Another spot is avillion admiral cove, also a 5 star hotel.

there is Avillion and Aviliaon Cove.. which one is better choice?

just recently went to LEXIS 1st time i go to water chalets..no beaches there but the pictures i took were nice...looks exclusive...just see my travel logbook to see those pics

Avillion cove has the boats and clear water. Fantastic place for photos.

This junction is just before turning right to KLIA from KL.

I will be going to pd by bus or ktm and my problem is when i reach there which bus should i use to lexis hotel and if i`m using a cab how much will it cost me and how is the food at there ?

is there any nearby restaurant ?

Just came back from Thistle Resort. (previous Guoman) Very nice hotel and worty staying. Love the big room and big swimming pool. (the beach is so so only)

I stayed at Thistle Resort for my PD trip too.
the beach was really disappointing :/

I think the whole PD has disappointing beaches Thistle to be honest is one of the slightly better ones, Legend/Nexis and Avillion are worse by comparison.

You need to go to the east coast to get good beaches unfortunately.

If you know where to go you can even see corals,clear water and fishes swimming up to you.

PD, what can i say, cheapest place to go..spend less then 100 on a trip there..heck i can even spend rm50 for a PD weekend trip/ provided i bring water/food from home i think is more like a convenient place for klang valley..u can go there everymonth without burning ur pocket......

hate it when people compare it to islands in east coast..common guys, be more realistic......why not compare with maldives instead? just accept between selangor/n9/malacca/west coast of johor, PD is the best/cheapest

When I talked about the east coast, I hardly meant Redang/Perhentian. Kuantan is 2.5 hours away (vs. PD's 1.5 hours away depending on where you are in KL). My usual in Kuantan is Swiss Garden which is roughly RM270 per night. My usual in PD is Thistle which is around the same price.

So for me and my budget, PD is *not* the best. I love PD, Avillion and Thistle especially but not everyone spends RM50 for a beach trip

n not everyone can afford to spend how much u spend every month for a beach trip

2) teluk kemang
3) tanjung tuan area
4) ive my own camping gear + will bring a BBQ pit
5) something private will also do but not in away that i'd be robbed or so
