my family is planning to spend this weekend at PD, so i'm looking for a place to stay; an apartment type with 3 rooms. stayed at Ancasa couple of weeks back and very satisfy with my time there; decent sized apartment, easy access to the beach, pools and good enough breakfast. unfortunately, the apartments there with 3 rooms are fully booked. any other place having all those features recommended for me to check it out?

Which way? Via NSE or KLIA-Sepang way?

If KLIA, you can use maju express way till Putrajaya (RM4) & thereafter to  F1 circuit via Putrajaya. Thereafter at F1 go towards Sepang>Lukut>PD.

IF NSE to Seremban, (RM7.70) & Seremban PD (RM3.20)

I found a cheaper way.

use maju expressway (rm 2.50) from bukit jalil

go all the way to KLIA

turn left to NSE and enter in nilai toll

exit at port dickson (rm 3.50)

enter port dickson highway (rm 3.20)

Is the chicken curry bun at Lukut nice? Is the price RM25 per bun?

Any other recommendations for lunch in Lukut and PD?

Thanks

thanks for all the replies, a bit late though. admittedly i myself tanya lambat already that time..hehehe

actually my in-laws only confirmed that we were going Thursday night. so really struggle to find a rooms or apartment, so had to go to uncle Google. and manage to find an apartment rent by Mr. Cheok at Corus Paradise. 2 rooms, 1 bathroom and decent living room size with sea view balcony and direct access to sea. for last minute arrangement, i was very satisfied with it

the sea was not all that good though, keruh sikit air dia. definetely Teluk Kemang was better. but that will do as the purpose of the trip was more towards family vacation. the time when the water was in the best condition was during morning time around 7 am. but obviously that was due to tak ramai orang even wake up already to go to the beach

Pls click on the below link.
This is the cheapest way that i can find as i often travel back to PD.

MEX Highway RM 4.00 (assume that u start from Kg Pandan entrance, if from Bkt Jalil shud be even cheaper)
U can even skip the Seremban - PD highway toll as well.

I took that route before, it was horrible ! Most of the road was only one lane and can cause accident easily.

Life is more important than money.

If I take route to nilai (north south expressway) after klia, then all the roads are highway.

rm 2.5 (mex), rm 3.5 (nilai), rm 3.2 (pd highway)

Huh ? It was that horrible to u ?
It is a single lane road but the road condition was quite good considering the road condition standard in Msia.

Here is the modified route. Single lane is dangerous bcos big bus from the other side can accidentally ram into you.

In the future, there will be a highway that link KLIA to port dickson.

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...4712&sec=nation

MALACCA: Plans to link up Malacca and Selangor through a coastal highway could see a West Coast corridor stretching to Taiping in the North and Johor Baru in the south.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said Malacca had proposed a highway linking the historical city to Klang in Selangor which would also pass through Port Dickson in Negri Sembilan.

“A proposal had been submitted to the Federal Government and we are confident of getting the approval because a proposed coastal highway between Banting in Selangor and Taiping in Perak has been approved,” said Mohd Ali.

He said the Malacca-Port Dickson-Klang coastal highway could even be linked up with the Banting-Taiping highway.

He also said the state would also propose the construction of a highway to link Malacca with Pontian and Johor Baru in the south.

Just want to share on my trip to PD last weekend and the apartment called Cocobay that we booked online was a total disaster. vmad.gif vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

check out my Bloggy~~ to see the condition of the apartment

We totally cannot stay there. We left and ask for refund but was only told that no refund could be made even if we didn't even stay at that place. We only checked in less that half and hour!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

For 4 star or 5 star, most people recommend avillion admiral, legend water chalet and thistle but they are expensive.

For 3 star hotel, try Glory beach, tanjung tuan.

There is another one called corus but I heard a lot of bad reviews although on the outside, it is nice.

SEREMBAN: Two new toll-free highways will be built to reduce traffic congestion along existing expressways and bring more progress to the south-western part of Negri Sembilan.

One of the stretches will be between the KL International Airport and Seremban while the other will connect Port Klang with Port Dickson.

The Port Dickson-Port Klang stretch via KLIA was supposed to have been built under the Ninth Malaysia Plan but was deferred due to the regional economic slowdown.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the proposals have been submitted to the federal authorities, adding that, once completed, traffic would be reduced along the North-South Expressway and Federal Highway in Kuala Lumpur.

“Apart from helping to open up new areas along the stretch such as Sepang, Lukut and Salak Tinggi, it will also spur economic growth in this part of the state,” he said.

Both links would be dual carriageways.

The current distance between Seremban and KLIA via the North-South Expressway is about 65km while the distance from Port Klang to Port Dickson via the Federal Highway is about 150km.

Mohamad said the new stretches were also important as the state was now considered a “suburb” of the Klang Valley.

“The land cost for example is only a third compared to that in the Klang Valley. Opening up more areas will also take the burden off Klang Valley where land has become scarce,” he said.

He added the Seremban-KLIA stretch would not cost much as it would be built parallel to the existing trunk road. The cost is estimated at RM200mil.

He said the only missing link between the two points now were Gadong Jaya-Felda LBJ-Kualiti Alam-KLIA.

Mohamad said it would make good economic sense to have the direct links as it would cut travel time from Port Dickson and Seremban to KLIA.
