The mirror seems to be down from here, for 5 days now.

It would not crash your cpu even if the iso files are corrupted, don't worry.
The installation would just freeze.
Then probably the only way is to re-install.

Or of course if you can find a reasonably priced DVD/CD, then it's good to buy too.
