vince, soundproofing is the onli way to reduce noise and yes, it does cost a fortune, if no money then have to bear with the noise. as for amp + sub at rm1k, u gotta ask zenn for some recommendation, he has an arsenal of ICE products.

jye, if u are looking at hi end products, i am willing to sell mine at the price u mentioned, 2k for DLS Nobelium 6.2 and 2k for Helix P400 Precision. but i doubt u wan 2nd stuffs la. 2k can get u something like DLS UP6, Focal Polykevlar K2P and so on. Amp 2k, maybe audio system F4-600 will do the job. i can get Focal K2P at a nice price, PM me if u r really interested.

both STEG and McIntosh are damn famous in SQ world but not for beginners due to their price. STEG amps are very gud for midbass and subs. While McIntosh are very famous for their HU.
Zenn, the McIntosh MSS630 i heard is made by Vifa, is it true?

m25 u going to use it for wat? tweeters? 2x25w is at 12V, if 14.4V maybe about 2x50w or so. PPI is a gud brand, famous for their amp in handling lower frequencies, PPI are considered dynamic sounding amp, means can feel lke lotsa energy in the music.

M25 is ok if u are using it to produce midrange and hi freq. dun expect too much bass coming from low powered components. as for component set, better ask zenn, he sure have something around rm600. dun take the OEM audi speakers. Visaton if i not mistaken are home audio speakers, the midbass requires an enclosure, playing it free air at the door will shorten its lifespan.

Class D amp are known for efficiency but lack of cleanliness, dats why most SQ kaki dun use class D amps, even monoblock they oso choose to use class AB. the gud thing abt PDX is the small footprint of the amp, makes it easier during installation. wats ur budget btw? PDX are not cheap, u can get better amps at that price and cheaper if u get 2nd hand... smile.gif

AVJunior, neva heard of Maestro b4, maestro and cirrus on ATM cards got la. focals ain't cheap, even the lowest range Access cost bout rm700 for the component set, so u think the V1 u saw is ori? V1 and V2 i think they just updated version for marketing purposes, not much difference i suppose.

robin, for some ppl, helix competition A4 is like god d... including me last time. but later i found out each amp has their own character. and dat determines if u like the amp or not. there are ppl who prefer denon over alpine F1 or ODR. just dat everyone has their rights to choose wats best for them. gud thing dat u wrote ur opinion bout this agako reference for other's future reference, dare to try. smile.gif u r lucky to be able to listen for free. i wouldn't spend 2k+ on dat tho, it's risky. i'm quite 'cheap' actually, when i buy any ICE stuffs, i alwez consider its resale value oso. u get what i mean? brows.gif just for added info, there are ppl who use rockford fosgate old skool amps for SQ, they are very clean, dynamic and detailed. dunno abt the new amps tho.

so, u r an old skool and analog supporter. just like most old timers. i've listened to ODR system b4, the earliest version really sounds synthetic. but the newer one is much better, not as dull. one fella from team pioneer told me dat it's all about the tuning, as long u have the experience and the skill both digital and analog system will sound as good. smile.gif haven't got the chance to listen to Z1 brows.gif onli 1000 biji in the world.

depending on series, imho, their 'black box' amps are hi quality. speakers are no big deal. they have some big subs as well.

Kenwood is not as good as they advertised. The only thing good is their hu only. And it's not the best in the world. They mostly attack entry lvl market. Imho, not worth to invest in kenwood.

which comp/speakers u planning to power using them? my choice would be zapco. but if the speaker need more than 100w rms then alpine. 360.4 would be gud on high and mid, lower end requires more power. smile.gif

if u bridge the zapco for passive setup maybe u can get gud result. if wanna play active, then have to try pdx d. i believe zapco has better potential on the bass section if bridged. if possible try to listen first. i personally dun quite like PDX, design wise is ok, very plastic feel tho, but SQ wise the signal is not so clean for its price, class D ma. haha. may i know how much u got quoted for these 2 amps?

26XX? damn, dats expensive for dat kinda SQ. i recommend u to get a 2nd hand amp. gud amps are made to last, and 2nd hand are at least 30% cheaper than new ones. so with 2k, u can a hell of an amp. try to ask zenn bout his STEG K4.02, dats gud shit. STEG + focal is oso a nice combo. smile.gif

2 diffrent sound. mid and hi is gud, bass is a little dry, so depends on individuals. overall it's a very gud amp for dat price, it's roughly 500 euro for a new one. there are ppl dat dislike steg. for the money u saved can use to do soundproof and buy better cables smile.gif pm me if u r interested to discuss further.

hi end and low end, basically are classified by their recommended retail price. it's not up to the manufacturer to say hi end speakers. when comparing items in ICE, we compare those in the same pricing category, then we figure which is the best bang for bucks within that particular category. and every man has their own taste, not everyone likes brax or sinfoni. i'm not saying dat all hi ends sounds gud nor all ayam sounds bad, but dats how it's classified according to price and fame worldwide these days. Marketing RULEZ... like the old saying, cheap things dun come gud, gud things dun come cheap.
