Even ICE in singapore is so cheap. 1 more factor is lack of ICE enthusiasts in malaysia oso, everybody wans onli cheap and gud (cap ayam), they neva consider to pay for quality, unlike mat salleh, they are willing to pay for quality... btw, i neva heard of audio phonar. u can check some of the brands popular in europe through emmanet.com

my sony home theater can read pirated cd and DVDs no problem...

try amplify ur front components... shud be able to give u some improvement.

4ch, imho, under 1k, it's JBL GTO-1004e or a cheaper Magnat Bull Power Four or soundstream lil' wonder. u might get a mid end amp if u dun mind 2nd hand...

germany, denmark and italy give us some options, too... Helix, Rainbow, Audison, Sinfoni, Peerless, Vifa... haha. but mostly SQ la.

ur budget? i dunno how much dat helix cost u... for ur music can try DLS nobeliums and Rainbow Vanadium kick or Profi kick, but of course those are at a higher lvl than 236G.

i'm not sure how much do they cost, but definitely more than 2k unless it's 2nd hand.

if u need a non branded and normal one, then no need to bother where is it from, it's either SEA or China. Amerion is quite established in m'sia, dunno bout E-Tone tho. there's a German brand called ETON which produces hi quality speakers. Not sure if this is the same case of ADIDAS and ASADI.
btw, i realize dat the magnet of the sub is quite small. so, it's really onli gud for normal use. not for blasting all night long.

not to say not gud for blasting too long, just that the bass might not satisfy u. i dunno which JBL subs u talking about, i guess shud be the GT5 series. neva heard them b4, so can't comment.

for ur budget, i suggest a rockford fosgate P1 or Kicker CVR, at least they are no cap ayam and well known around the world. wat u wan is called a SPL setup, boom boom all the way. below is the P1 sub.

haha, dun say that, there are lotsa hardcore soundstream fans around here. i told a lot of ppl, the new amps are overrated but they just love the tarantula logo. lol.
