QUOTE(setoyo @ Nov 6 2008, 12:19 PM) Okey, For Bro Kasman query whether iphone3g can used as a modem.... YES... looking forward to see the tutorial on iphone as modem. Thanks.it call iphone modem.. or last time, Netshare.... by using this application the iphone3g acting as modem... BTW, this tutorial only for ppl to connect their iphone3g to laptop via built in wifi... using adhoc method.. Will find a time, to place tutorial: iphone3g as a modem.. (coming soon) Peace.. I however, trying to figure out what are the occasions when the "ICS seed Iphone Via wifi" become useful. ?? if you have a laptop, and connected to internet (via cable) , just use the laptop.. unless you don't have a laptop, and no WIFI network. ANd your friend is connected via CABLE, then this become useful. |

Hope you don't mind. Found this on the net. Hopefully is helpful. iModem (Windows Only) Now Lets You Tether Over USB Cable. Tethering your iPhone for internet use can be a real life-saver when there's no Wi-Fi around, but for those who aren't the most tech-savy, the tinkering with proxy settings and the like can be a little too complicated. Thankfully those times may be coming to a close. Unofficial tethering app iModem has just released an update that lets you tether your iPhone via USB cable. Previous to this, tethering apps used the iPhone's Wi-Fi capabilities to act as a Wi-Fi hotspot that was connected to the cellular data network. The new iModem is the first tethering app to change this. Instead of messing with settings, you can just connect your iPhone to your laptop through USB cable to share internet. http://isoftcom.com/?p=products&id=imodem |
