If anybody can help out it will be great.

Based on my quick survey, the cheapest/easiest way to fly to east coast USA seems to be on the middle east airlines. Any better recommendations. SQ is too expensive, MAS is flying via Heathrow, also do-able but is more expensive than qatar/emirates

I really liked Grand Canyon. My friend persuaded me to go there in my student years. As now I remember Easy USA were organizing everything. It was unforgettably, I have not seen such an amazing sight in my entire life.

Yes they do. I've flown MAS to the US before (more than 10 years ago).

Yes. You will know on the spot if it's approved/ rejected. Also there are times they might request more information which you'll need to come back.

You can use skyscanner or kayak.com to get the best price of flight ticket. I paid a total of rm4,200 for my plane ticket few yrs ago where normally RM4.5k that time.

I'm not working for Trek, but just to share my experience here for those who like to go on roadtrips in America.

I did my roadtrip back in 2016, Sept (1 mth) the trip is called Southern BLT.... (Budget Lodging Tour), u can google it up.
To date, not many asians from asia have been with Trek.... i only meet with one korean girl which joined a separate camping trip but departed and ended at the same place as me.

I was taking a risk back then coz there were nobody to ask to get non biase feedbacks except past Trekkers which are mostly non asians.
But i took the risk and head on and do it.... it end up the best roadtrip i ever had.

So for those of u who is planning to head on the the USA for a roadtrip with Trek America, feel free to ask me any question u may have...glad to help

Question about working holiday in USA. Do I need to go to USA within 1 year after my graduation if I were to apply for it? And do I have to apply while I am still a uni student?

If i understand correctly from their email, yes the condition is you must be a student.

For Winter 2018 programme, you can still join if you are finishing your study from June until Nov/Dec

Hi guys. Sorry i have a question to ask about baggage allowances which may not be too relevant to this thread but I i do hope i could get some assistance/answers here (tried Google and another thread popped up but the last reply in that thread was in 2014).

Anyway, has anyone taken Southern China / Air China airlines from Malaysia to US (i intend to go to New York) here? I'm quite confused (or 'surprised'?) with the baggage allowance stated in the Southern China airline website. Is it true that for economy class passengers, you get to check in 2x luggages with each weighing a maximum of 23kg? I see that this is the same for Air China from its website (which is more clearly understood) but i would like to get some confirmation / answers from anyone here with some relevant experience.. Quite unusual for me to be 'allowed' 46kg on a flight with economy ticket πŸ˜….

Baggage rule for Southern China: https://www.csair.com/en/orders/order/kpxlgd/

Baggage rule for air china: https://www.airchina.us/US/GB/info/checked-...ernational.html

Would appreciate any help.. Thanks..

Edit: and if i fly from KL to Shanghai/Guangzhou with Southern China, would the luggage allowance then only be 1x @ 23kg ?

Most, if not all, airlines allow 2x23kg check-in luggage for no charge on INTERNATIONAL flights.

Thank you very much for the reply. But if I read it correctly, my other dilemma now is that my flight from malaysia to china (first flight) will only entitle me 1 luggage of 23kg sweat.gif . Unless I can find one airlines that allows me to buy additional luggage so I can utilise the 2x 23kg luggage allowance for the flight from china to Us. Anyway thanks for your time to respond, I think I will clear it up as well with travel agents. Cheers!

Can I apply and go for this work and travel usa AFTER graduation?

There's no way I can get 4 months long holiday as my uni doesn't allow it.
