If that's the case, I think the possible way is to port over to another telco and make it prepaid first, then only convert it to a postpaid's supplementary line.

Prepaid or postpaid ? Anyway, just check the statement in OCS to be sure that the charges weren't made for your own usage. Then you may complain to DiGi if it really isn't your own usage.

Hello, I'd like to find out if anyone here has switched from Maxis postpaid to Digi postpaid. I am a bit fed up with Maxis (I keep getting a "missed call" even tho the phone didn't even ring, dropped calls, etc).

But I have not had any experience with any other telco. How is Digi's coverage? How is the customer service? What are the cons of switching to Digi?

thanks for any advice...

I wasn't a Maxis postpaid user but I was a Hotlink user before switching over to DiGi postpaid. The coverage in my opinion isn't a problem now, DiGi has improved a lot compared to last time especially if your visits are usually around Klang Valley and so on. The customer service is quite good to me, there's a live chat with their customer service team through the OCS system while Maxis on the other hand will have to call 123 and you will be charged for the call as well. Cons I must say basically none but typical people will usually think that DiGi is "cheap" or should I say low class but who cares if the service is good and that the rates are good too. biggrin.gif

Well, I've came across some of my friends who are pretty materialistic as well and when choosing telco, they will never choose DiGi. To them, Maxis will be the best. Celcom to them are believed to be catered for business people. laugh.gif

thanks for the feedback. don't quite understand why ppl would think Digi is low-class. i always thought Digi looks so much cooler (i'm a real sucker for nice packaging / clever marketing).

thanks again.

Well, DiGi rebranded themselves and it is a good strategy. It's like when you see a yellow duck or a yellow man you'll think of DiGi. Their tagline 'Always the smarter choice' is somehow a good one too as I did not regret switching over to DiGi. biggrin.gif

I think something is wrong somewhere, maybe with their system. Your best bet now is to contact their customer service and have them explain to you on this. hmm.gif

if i'm maxis user...can i mnp to digi postpaid suppline user?

Yes, you may port in to DiGi as supplementary line of another person. All you need to do is just walk in together with the mainline's holder to the nearest Digi Dealer and submit your port in request.

You'll receive 50% of the amount you topup instantly IF
- you topup 3 days before your birthday
- you topup on your birthday
- you topup 3 days after your birthday

Once you switch to postpaid, you can't enjoy birthday bonus anymore, instead, you get to have accumulate points whenever you settle ya bills with DiGi. smile.gif

Hi, I was with maxis postpaid value80 before switching to DiGi postpaid. So far I did not have any problem with the coverage. I stay in Puchong and work in PJ. The coverage is excellent in these 2 places. My experience with their customer service also been really pleasant. I just got my 1st month's bill with DiGi and it's about RM20 lower than my usual bill with maxis!

As for the problems after switching to DiGi, I have only 2 complaints but I dun think it's DiGi's fault:
1. I had problem receiving SMS from some maxis numbers but I think it's fixed now
2. Calls from international numbers shown on my phone with extra prefix +012.

I don't think DiGi is low class at all. In fact I thought they r much cooler than the other providers. I have really became DiGi's fan and felt proud about it!

Coverage wise around the main spots will definitely have no problems and it applies to the other mobile networks as well. In my opinion, the rebranding that they did really transformed them into something cool and trendy. biggrin.gif

Coverage is wise to me too. As long as you are not from any remote or isolated area, DiGi coverage shouldn't be a problem. smile.gif I even have no problem talking in evaluator, I couldn't do that when I was on Maxis. smile.gif

As for customer service, thumbs up to it. It has D' Chat, which I think is a good move as everything is linked to Internet nowadays. The customer careline is free of charge though, not like Hotlink which it charges its users with local call rate. Only postpaid users able to call for free. They even have separated no. for prepaid and postpaid. doh.gif

Nah, DiGi is not low class anymore. Maybe it sounded that few years back, but no longer now. With its continuous innovative yet interactive plans, I'm sure it will have high increment of users sign ups. smile.gif
