QUOTE(maknismudekots @ Nov 3 2008, 05:38 PM)
I'm a hotlink user... been contemplating to switch to digi. But I just activated hotlink365 last september.

1. I read somewhere that anyone who port to digi prepaid will get free 1 year active period. Is it true? I can't find the information anywhere in digi website.

2. How to activate the 1 year active period with digi? (unrelated to question no. 1) I heard it's just RM30 nowadays. No obligations to top up cumulative RMxx for a period of first 6 months?
*
1. It is true and those people who had done their MNP got free 365 days validity. For source, refer here: http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...29&sec=business. Read the last 6 lines will do. smile.gif

2. It is known as Super Long Life. Yes, RM 30.00. Refer here: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/ilike/rate.do
No obligation for the credit but it mentions in its T&C, you need to have minimum RM 35.00 because RM 30.00 will be deducted. smile.gif

Sorry forgot about the handphones promotion. OK, I've extracted the information from the advertisement as follow:

Nokia N96 - From RM 1999
Samsung Soul L700 - From RM 0.99
LG KF390 - From RM 0.99
Sony Ericsson W595 - From RM 199
Nokia 6600 Slide - From RM 399
HTC Touch Diamond - From RM 1299

Love the phones. Love the savings.
Enjoy these phone deals when you sign up for the new DiGi Postpaid Phone Plan for 24 months.
Exclusively at DiGi Centres. It's a good time to switch to DiGi, and keep your number.

haha.. maybe what you say is true. oh ya.. when i subscribe to the Super FnF. what is the normal rate of calling and sms people who not in the FnF?
*
RM 0.36/minute if use more than RM 30 per month, else RM 0.48/minute.

36sen/min , 10sen/sms, 20sen/mms to any network, no terms on amount of reload required in a month to get the rate, is just instant. 30sec charging blocks  laugh.gif your line activated d?
*
Is it? I thought based on usage. RM 0-RM 30 per month is RM 0.48/minute, RM 30.01 and above is RM 0.36/minute? unsure.gif

Beyond prepaid is based on usage to get 36cents/minute but Digi prepaid I like, you can 36cents/minute regardless the amount you reload.
*
Oh, understood. I have never tasted DiGi Prepaid I like before, straight switched to DG 50 from Beyond prepaid. sad.gif

since ur opinion is DG50, i have 1 questn though. why DG50 not DG20, or higher than DG50? just need ur opinion.
*
DG 20 is access fees.
Gap between RM 50 and RM 150 is too huge, just try RM 50 first. smile.gif

what i meant was, without calling the CS. for example, we change the FnF list. take off the supp number frm our FnF list. so, after that, the charge for supp line will be normal (FOC) again. rite?
*
Yes, can. smile.gif
You can do it via OCS too.

99cent.. woww...

but need to sign up for 24month contract in postpaid

Yea, 24 months is the drawback.
RM 100 commitment fees = 24xRM 100 = RM 2400 sweat.gif
By 2 years later, the phone will be outdated already. sweat.gif

u can know rite away how much ur call cost after call? like prepaid?
*
Well, can calculate. tongue.gif
After all it is only RM 0.10/minute. laugh.gif

Nowadays I feel lazy to reply SMS. RM 0.10/SMS, after I reply, the person replies and the circle continues. sweat.gif I call only RM 0.13/minute. Sometimes 1 minute also can finish whatever I want to say, maybe for 3 SMS-es length? laugh.gif

just one question guys.. upgrading from prepaid to postpaid today.. what a pity.. i left my postpaid simcard at office.. my line for prepaid already being cut out rclxub.gif  i thought the process will take 1-2 days..

anyway i dont have much time to ask them before... what about my fnf number?.. need to set back meh? just feel a little bit being corn here.. they ask me to top up 50 ringgit first for my prepaid number before i can upgrade to postpaid dg50 plan .. is it true? how about my bill for this month? feel like i,m paying something that i still dont use..i just top up rm 60 so i can have extra 10 before my line being change to postpaid.. DANG! by night it already change to postpaid line.. and now i already lost my 60!  icon_question.gif
*
My prepaid to postpaid line only took 10 minutes to be activated. smile.gif

Yes, you need to set all your FnF again.
No con, it is mentioned in FAQ in DiGi site. All prepaid to postpaid conversion needs RM 50.00 in prepaid credit, regardless any package or be it supplementary line.
It will deduct in your next bill. sweat.gif
If you use RM 65 next month, then you only pay RM 5. doh.gif

No worry, DiGi won't con you. sweat.gif

Yes, 24 hours to update your database. smile.gif
You can do it tomorrow and register yourself an account at OCS. Here: https://www.digi.com.my/ocs
OCS = Online Customer Service
It is very useful to keep track with your account and you can add/delete your FnF list there. Anyway, tomorrow only you can register. smile.gif

ps: I'm a PSP Slim user too. tongue.gif

anyway, another noob ques from me... few hours ago, when i checked if my new postpaid sim card have been activated or not, it's written "inactive SIM" on the screen... now it's written "DiGi"... this means it's activated and i can use it already right??

but when i check my account status through *128£, it said my account is not activated... does that 128 apply only to prepaid or what?
*
It is already activated and it takes around 24 hours to update your information on their record.
*128# applies to both prepaid and postpaid.
