I don't have such issues with my PSP and I always transfer files. Are you using fake MSPD? Or maybe your MSPD need to format? hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

I've been using CR-5400 with 2x Sandisk 8GB MicroSDHC Class 6 for about 1 month+ till today no problems when I copy files in and out of it ~touch wood~

I think that the fake MSPD is using cheapskate memory chip compare to using branded memory.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MagicGate
QUOTE
MagicGate is a copy-protection technology introduced by Sony in 1999 as part of the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI). It works by encrypting the content on the device and using MagicGate chips in both the storage device and the reader to enforce control over how files are copied.

It's a Digital Rights Management (DRM) thing. I think it won't affect the functions the memory card used in the PSP.

tongue.gif hi, i only tested on 8GBx2 mobile Ultra sandisk microSD, becoz single 16GB microSD is still very expensive. i guess after chinese new year the price will drop to very acceptable level. Some forumers from the internet really tested on 16GBx2, not sure how is the performance for 32GB. but performance for 8GBx2 microSD is much more faster than original 16GB sony especially more than 10MB/s write speed.

Hi guys,

I had received my CR-5400. I tried it with two 8GB Sandisk MicroSDHC. formatted it using PSP and it work great, but not too long. After an hour, I switch off the PSP. After that, when I switch back on my PSP, the orange LED light on the left kept blinking and the PSP won't boot nor switch off. I had to take out the battery.

I tried several times and finally it work once. I restarted my PSP and it won't work again. I took out the card to boot the PSP and then insert it into PSP again, the PSP can't detect it at all, I had to insert, take out, and insert it mutiple times until I get it working. Most of the times, when I load the game, the PSP would just hang after the Gameboot screen and the orange LED light will just keep blinking, and I had to take out the battery to shut it of again.

I had tried swapping the position of two cards, reformatting them using PSP mutiple times, using only Slot 1, but no avail, the chance my PSP detecting it is very slim (like 1 out of 10 reboot), and it hang a lot when launching game. I tried using my previous MSPD and it had no such issues.

So, could it be that the CR-5400 is faulty? I'm using PSP-2000.

Hm... Possible you got a faulty CR-5400. Better send back for warrany asap. Got test with another microsdhc? Or just 1 microshdc in the CR-5400?

For PSP you can look at MSPD from Sony or Sandisk.

Heard Sandisk MSPD is faster than Sony MSPD.

Sony got MSPD MarkII but not sure about the performance though.

Sony more expensive than Sandisk.

Where are you guys buying your MSPD from? I'm afraid to buy from shops around lowyat/sungai wang since they might be selling fake MSPDs.

I bought mine from Low Yat Plaza in All IT Hypermart.

It's the cheapest among the IT shops there.

Then should be the adapter is faulty. Better bring it back for warranty and hopefully get 1 on 1 exchange.
