what's your cfw version? i'd suggest updating it, if it still does not work, try using another iso file.

my 5.00 m33-3 works fine... i remember playing that part the game sort of "freezed" for awhile, but then it was smooth again.

The PSP is multi-region so you are able to play games from around the world, although it is possible that not all games will work (so far, we have no evidence to prove this). There may be incompatibility issues with multi-player games when using copies from different regions.

UMD Movies on the otherhand are not multi-region. If you own a European (PAL) PSP, you can only play region 2 UMD Movies, which means a PAL console can play JAP UMD movies, but not US, as US is Region 1. Please check the region code on the back of the case to ensure correct compatibility.

proz4ver and kr898 are both right. You can do nothing about it on an official firmware unit hellodedm. You however, can disable free region in recovery mode if you do have a custom firmware unit.

this i quote from another site...
QUOTE
The PSP hardware models do not necessarily equate to the region coding.

For example, althought the US model is PSP 3001 and the region coding is 1, the Japanese model is PSP 3000, and the region coding is 2 the same as Europe, the UK, the Mid East and South Africa.
The UK model is PSP 3003 although the region coding is 2 as mentioned before.
The PSP 3006 is the Hong Kong/Singapore version, which is region coded 3.
The PSP 3007 is the Taiwan version, also region coded 3.

The rest of them are similarly confusing.

hope it clear off some issue about region lock to new psp users...
